The Zildjian A Series 16" Medium-Thin Crash cymbal provides drummers with a versatile and finely tuned sound. Cast from Zildjian's proprietary metal alloy using time honored techniques. The medium-thin weight allows the A Series 16" crash to speak quickly and open up easily, emitting a mix of high, bright overtones balanced with rich undertones. This crash cymbal is ideal for drummers seeking a classic all purpose crash suited for any music style.

Responsive and Versatile

With its medium-thin profile, the A Series 16" crash cymbal reacts instantaneously to produce a wash off sound with quick response. The thin weight also enables drummers to elicit a range of tones from soft and subtle to loud and cutting. This responsiveness and versatility makes the A Series 16" crash an excellent choice for drummers who play in multiple genres or with dynamic changes.

Balanced Bright and Warm Tones

The A Series 16" crash emits a mix of high, shimmering overtones and lower undertones for a balanced sound that cuts through without being too harsh. The thin weight allows higher frequencies to shine through, while the proprietary Zildjian alloy provides warmth and richness. This combination of bright and warm results in natural tones suited for blending well with many instruments.

Timeless, All-Purpose Design

With a medium-thin profile and traditional round shape, the A Series 16" crash offers a timeless design and sound suited for any music style. The medium-thin weight provides enough projection and cut for live shows, while remaining sensitive enough for studio recording. The traditional round shape and distinct pattern produce musical, shimmering tones reminiscent of classic rock and jazz recordings. This versatile, all-purpose design makes the A Series an ideal first crash cymbal or a staple in any drummer's cymbal setup.
