The worlds most versatile cymbal, the zildjian a series, really do live up to their name. These cymbals have such an explosive sound with such a beautiful sustain. Although some people may be pessimistic of their traditional finish look, its all worth it once you begin to play on them. On most new cymbals they may sound like a clangy piece of metal the first few days, weeks, months, or even years. As the cymbal ages with time and playing, it will sound ALOT better. After you "break in" the cymbal you will immediately notice its beautiful sound it has to offer. Other than that, i believe that zildjian offers the best cymbals out there, after all they have been doing it since the 17th century!

I've always trusted Zildjian, but what the heck?? I bought the 16" cymbal and after 10 months, it has a crack in the middle of the cymbal. I can play hard at times, but I'm certainly not a basher. I guess I'll have to try a heavier model.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium Crash Cymbal:

I've owned this cymbal for over a year now, and it has never failed to accommodate. I love the sound it gives, its versatility in different styles of music, and the way it plays; you can elicit so many different sounds from it depending on your technique. An excellent cymbal for a wide and expansive range of genres; I recommend this!

          Bottom HiHat cymbal...

          By David

          from Wisconsin

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium Crash Cymbal:

Im actually using this as a bottom hi hat cymbal with a K Custom Hybrid Crash on the top. (17") I honestly do not like the way this cymbal sounds as a crash. To much of a gong/bell like ring to it. But for what im using it for it works great.

          Good but not

          By Yoogoogalizer0817

          from Philly, PA

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium Crash Cymbal:

I was playing my neighbors set the other day (a 10 piece double bass Pearl export) and he had the 16 in. and 19 in. versions of this cymbal. the 16 was very bright and good for accents epecially when hit with a snare. but the 19 in. had a weird sound and an extremley long sustain. After i hit it a couldn't hear myself playing! If your looking for a good cymbal for accenting, go for the 16 in. (or a Sabian AAXplosion crash) but if you want a sturdy main crash, don't get this.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium Crash Cymbal:

This crash is simply amazing. In comparison to some other crashes I've played, it's not so loud, but it has a great tone. It's unbelievable. If you give it a good whack, it opens up like magic, really bright. But if you hit it just right, it can actually be very dark. The overtones in general are very dark, especially if you've had it for a while, and they sound NICE. I've had it for six years now and it just got a crack. And you know what? It still sounds good.

          Really a good cymbal

          By Ivan Bernal 68

          from Lima, Peru.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium Crash Cymbal:

This is an awesome cymbal, especially when I play rock or pop. May be too bright for someones taste or not having a fast response, but for the type of music I play its nice, and sometimes I play it like a powerful crash-ride, a great sound! Finally, its true that this cymbal sounds better if you use it a lot, less brigthness and get a more crashable sound (because when I first played it, sounded too heavy) Try it!
