I have the 6" and 8" splashes, and am very happy with both. They're very thin, with a loud voice that decays quickly. Absolutely awesome close to your hi-hats for quick fills and accents. And with two small splashes, you get a great "One, two" combo for some killer fills or endless patterns between your snare, hats, and splashes. They aren't for everything, but when they're needed, they add lots of life to your kit!

I own this cymbal. It's okay, but I use my Sabian B8 8 inch more often than this one because of the trashy sound that the B8 has. This one has a warm tone to it. If you're looking for a crisp splash, this isn't the one for you.

Quality Cymbal

By sam england

from Melbourne, Florida

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

Great splash with a big quick sound and versatile tones. Eight inches worth every penny and far from cheaper, low quality cymbals. Currently above my ride on an eight inch stacker with no problems. Soon I'll add an a custom six inch splash on the left side of the set, as well as an a custom thin crash. I have it paired with z customs (ride, thin crash, hats) and it fits perfectly.

Gotta love those Zildjian A Custom cymbals

By Richard Moquin

from South Windsor, CT

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

I have several Ziljian A Custom cymbals; 6 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch, 14 inch, 14 inch hats, 15 inch, 16 inch, 18 inch, 20 inch rezo pang and 2 other 20 inchers. Recently I added an 8 inch splash because I can't resist the suble sound difference the smaller size cymbals provide. I can hear the specific pitch each cymbal resonates and they really make a kit well rounded with voices that create those accents you are looking for to complete the musical phrasing you see in your mind's eye. I have played other brand cymbals, but these are in my price range for quality and value for the buck. Even if I could afford pricier cymbals, I don't know if I would spend the extra money because I am happy with the sound these cymbals produce.

Mighty small

By Jordan Martinez

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

I bought it used and at a great price. Still not the sound I was looking for, but it does the job. Sounds bigger than it is and will be a great accent.

A Great Steel.

By Jaymes Palmer

from Mohave Valley,AZ

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

Believe it or not but I first heard this cymbal at my school's Rock band class. The drumset was anonymously donated and it was a great set. When we had to put it together I found out that there was an extra cymbal, i thought it would be funny if i took it home to see if anyone noticed, and they didnt, but i do not regret stealing this cymbal because the sound is amazing, somewhat quick sustain, Bright, open, The perfect accent to other larger cymbals now that its busted im actually going to have to pay for my next one, which is a great price now that i look at it...

Good Splash, nothing TOO special

By Tony

from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

I thought this splash is relatively good. there are better deals out there, it has a good sound, lots of sustain, but they built it too thick, especially in and around the bell. which gives it kind of an unpleasant overtone which doesn't sound quite right, it sounds a little odd. but when you first hit it, sounds great but after high pitch, then gets kind of uneven. but otherwise its worth it THE VERDICT Tone: 3/5 Projection: 5/5 Overall Sound: 4/5 Fit and Finish: 5/5 Structural Integrity: 4/5 Value for Money: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - 8/10 (pretty good)

worth the money, the best splash ever

By kyle howdy

from stl

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

wow, thats all pretty much all i have to say. i own the 8 inch and the 12 inch, i hope to get a 10 inch soon. but these splash cymbals are amazing. my little 8 inch sounds great when you need a quick high sound, its so good. and i use my 12 inch splash like a crash. i beat the hell out of it when im playing deathmetal, and it holds up perfectly, ive been playing both for about half a year, and there still in almost new condition. i suggest you buy this splash if your looking for a good splash, you will be very pleased.

Make A Splash

By Mississippi Kid

from Gibsonburg, Oh.

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Splash Cymbal:

After using a cheap twelve inch splash, I wanted to upgrade a little. I was expecting to have a hard time finding a splash that I really liked, as I am pretty picky about them. I was so impressed with the quality of sound that I bought two, an eight inch and a ten inch. Though I don't have the twelve inch yet, I have used one. It has a nice warm, washy tone that carries perfectly. The ten inch is very similar with a slightly higher pitch. I have discovered that when buying cymbals, you get what you pay for. Save your money, buy quality.
