I got the 17" less than two months ago.. about a week or two ago it started to sound weird to me and I inspected it for cracks, and sure enough, the cymbal is already cracking around the bell, right where the lathing pattern changes. Granted I am a relatively hard hitter, but my old Sabian Paragons lasted years before they started to crack, this is a great sounding cymbal but the lathing job is cheap, And I even use the Aquarian Cymbal Springs that are supposed to help protect your cymbals from cracking and this still happened. I'm highly disappointed in the quality of this cymbal, too bad too cuz it sounded amazing :/

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Rezo Crash Cymbal:

Picked up the 18 incher used at my local GC instead of taking delivery of a used Sabian signature crash/ride I had ordered. The latter proved to be the proverbial trash can lid. I'd been searching for a moderately priced ride cymbal that actually pleased my ear for a while without success and had taken a chance on the Sabian. Like the man in Apocalypse Now said: "Never Get off the boat! Never get off the boat!" I guess that's how I feel about Zildjian cymbals. Anyway, the 18 inch rezo crash is now my primary ride and I'm fairly well pleased. I'm able to use a good two-thirds of its surface, from bell down, to get a reasonable variety of sizzling yet pingy notes that manage to cut thru the mix, please my musical sense and still get a righteous, sparkling crash when needed. The bell is not strong but clear nonetheless. Personally, I can't abide any "gong" in my cymbals. (If I wanted gong, I'd buy a gong.) The bottom line for you all is: rezo's are very interesting cymbals. Give one a ride, or a crash. They're guaranteed to cut clear and bright and you might just like it regardless of your playing style.

Amazing sound, great attack and quick decay. I have the 17" and 18" crashes and they compliment my K Custom Hybrids quite nicely. If you're thinking about buying these, DO NOT HESITATE! You won't be disappointed!

I cracked mine after about 6 months of use BUT Zildjian has a great warranty. I got a new one in about a week all said. I gotta say, I'll be loyal to Zildjian based on how painless the return was.

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Rezo Crash Cymbal:

I bought this cymbal to go along with my A custom 17 inch projection crash and A custom 15 inch crash. It blends in quite well and is a beautiful sounding cymbal. The sound clips don't do this cymbal justice; it is primarily a brighter sounding cymbal but it also carries some beautiful lower undertones as well which you don't hear in the sound clips. Not only is the Rezo line great sounding but they are awesome looking too. You owe it to yourself to check these out if you're in the market for a crash.

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Rezo Crash Cymbal:

I'm using this 19" left side large crash, with a 20" REZO on the right. These are the "closers", their sound is just HUGE! Really just using this as a crash, but the 20" I also ride on with a very full sustain and breadth. The 19" would work just as well for that. Love the REZO line overall, using the 14" Hi's and a 18" Pang also.

BEAST!!! 20" A Custom REZO Crash

                By John Matuszek

                from Dallas, TX

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Rezo Crash Cymbal:

I am working through my set going from A Zildjians upgrading to A Custom REZOs. I needed first a new XL crash and so the 20" made sense. Overall - after the 20", HH and Pang I am still working towards replacing everything with A Custom REZOs. This cymbal and the entire REZO lineup are simply awesome! The other Zildjian sound I am looking to mix in with the A REZOs are the Z3s - for a different ride sound and as the remote HH alternate sound also to the REZOs. From the web recordings, the Z3 China seems to match well with the REZO Pang also. I'm trying to say - I find the mix of REZO and Z3 to combine well, as well as with the A Custom EFX crashes. I use an 18" EFX with the 20" REZO crash to close-out songs "big finish", and they are over powering!
My 3rd REZO product to go with 15" Hi-Hats and an 18" Pang. Overall the REZO line looks fantastic and more importantly sound SUPERB! This 20" REZO crash is the biggest crash I've ever owned, and it sounds like it too! Absolute BEAST, but the REZO sound still keeps it having an open lively crash sound - hard to describe but it still has an open crash not ride sound like some larger crash tend to have. Played as a ride or crash/ride also works well, and the bell has a nice sound to it. This cymbal can do it all. LOUD is an understatement.
So far my 3 REZOs all have great workmanship and finish, and are holding up well. Zidjian A Customs - the quality there is obvious.
A Customs are pricey, but if you are looking for top quality sound and look these are great choices.

I bought the 18" version of this about 6 months ago. It was on sale for 55% so i had to get it, i was going to by a ZHT China but i bought this instead. Best Purchase i have ever done! It has such a pure sound, blends in perfectly, and it can be used for any type of music!! Hit it hard or soft, you will get the perfect sound! I have even taken this cymbal into my room, put it on a stand, and just hit it. Get this cymbal!

I'll keep it short and sweet. Looks great, the sound really projects well and is dry. The bell is very loud and it rides very nicely.

                Absolutely Great Cymbal

                By Kenneth

                from North Caldwell, NJ

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Rezo Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is absolutely great: it offers a very warm sound with great volume. It supplements other cymbals like the 14in A Custom Fast Crash beautifully, offering deeper-sounding undertones and the perfect ring-length. This is certainly a great leading crash cymbal, as well as a secondary- you simply cannot go wrong with its warm sound and perfect shimmer. It's design is also pretty cool looking, but that's besides the point.
