I was getting ready to upgrade from my crummy Sabian B8s to to Zildjian cymbals. I originally went for the Z3 pack, but then realized that it wasn't good for playing anything besides rock. Although being a metal musician, I play regularly in my school pep band which plays mostly rock and jazz. The cymbals at the school are horrible, so I decided to get these. they work great in metal, rock, jazz, or any other genre. The only thing I was a little disappointed about at first was the ride, but its sound grew on me, as long as I don't use it as a crash. One tip; buy at the store because it's $100 less.
First off i want to say that I have tried alot of cymbals in the past.. Sabian's AAX and AA, Paiste's Alpha and Rude , Meinls Classics and custom classics, and NONE of them has lasted me long as these have and provided a great sound like the Zildjian A Customs.. I play alot of metal and hard rock.. Some say that these arent the best for those genres of music.. I disagree of course. You can honestly use these for a lot of different genres, I also do this jazz band thing at my school and the a customs sound great among the K series that my school has.. I've had them for a while now and i have to say Im in love.. If you want that BANG! for your BUCK! I highly recommend these.
I just bought these and they are the best cymbals for the money! I can't stop playing them! The ride has a full sound and the crashes have a good punch. The high-hats have a crisp click and sound great open. Overall I really enjoy these cymbals!
I am very happy with my Zildjian cymbals. They sound fantastic. The travel bag is nice to have also and is very high quality.
I had VERY high hopes for these cymbals, I've always hated the Sabian brand name and sound, and is the reason I payed top dollar for less cymbal. These things are perfect, PERFECT. The ping that comes from that ride is so sweet it could put me to sleep, the ride is also a great sounded crash cymbal if you'd like it to be. Both the crash's that come with the set are amazing, they sound great and die exactly as you'd imagine them to. The hi hat is awesome, it gives such an awesome sound and coupled with a nice hi hat stand will give you the exact hi hat sound you're looking for, no matter the genre. All around, perfect cymbals, highly suggested.
These cymbals go great with my Pearl VMX 6 piece set. I love the sound of them. I highly recommend this cymbal pack to any committed drummers willing to pay a little extra cash for quality.
I just purchased my 1st set of cymbals and I went with this A Custom pack and I am sold for life. Not only are these very affordable but they look and sould great! I love how they can give you both low and high tones. Well worth the money I spent and I dont see myself playing any other brand!
i got these about 2 years ago as an upgrade from my ZBTs and there amazing, the 16in crash has a great sound n the 18in works great as a ride n the 20in ride is quite n doesnt swell up so loud (unless u hit the edge) overall best cymbols to last u a long time
Once i first heard/saw these cymbals. I was blown away, iwas jealous of any drummer with these. I HAD to buy them, once i saved the money and got them, i Practically cryed. These are by far the best cymbals on the market, hands down. And with the 'brilliant finish" on these bad larrys...they are BEAUTIFUL!. buy them..NOW
At first I didn't like them and sent back the pack with the free 14" and dry ride. I ordered the pack with the free 18" and medium ride and I still wasn't happy. But then I figured out it was the room I was playing in and the way I had my mixer set up. Once I did some rearranging the cymbals came alive thru my yamah mixer awesome sound nice clean wash and sustain, they eeven sound better thru my headphones.Im real picky about my sound being an audio aficionado and once I got everything right these cymbals are very nice for any type of style you play.Get them and give them a shot.
