A bright, rich-sounding ride for rock, pop, and alternative styles.

The Zildjian ZHT Rock Ride cuts through with explosive projection and accompanies soloists deftly with its broad tonal range and warm overtones.

For their ZHT series Zildjian chose Ultimate Sheet Bronze, an alloy with a higher tin content for enhanced low- and mid-frequencies. This extraordinarily musical metal is combined with ultra-modern manufacturing techniques and extensive hammering to create value-priced cymbals with sounds that are both modern and traditional.

  • good ride for rock

As reviewed by animal 821505 on 3/4/2011

this is a really good ride for the price... just as loud as an zildjian, with a graet bell, for rock....what some people do not understand is that if you crash or bash on a heavier cymbal, especially a rock ride, that leaves a huge potential, that you will damage or crack it... If you want a crash ride buy a crash ride or a lighter ride... a rock ride is for riding the bow, and or ride or accenting with the bell... not to be crashed or bashed... use your head, and it will save your wallet... all in all a very good ride, for rock and hard rock, and some metal...i have used it quite a few times on stage and it compares to if not sounds better than alot of higher end cymbals, in a live setting...

  • Pretty good cymbal

As reviewed by Mark on 9/1/2008

I've had this cymbal for about 3 years now and it is still a good cymbal. The bell has a nice sound to it and all around a good cymbal. If you are looking for a heavier sound then this isn't the cymbal for you, but it's great for most rock and other music. It does ring for quite some time, though.
