Zildjian ZHT Mastersound Hi-Hat Bottom (445511)
Availability:

ZHT Series cymbals combine old world richness with contemporary cut and projection.

ZHT Mastersound gives you bold, melodic sound with full-bodied presence. Hi-hat bottom only.

For their ZHT series Zildjian chose Ultimate Sheet Bronze, an alloy with a higher tin content for enhanced low- and mid-frequencies. This extraordinarily musical metal is combined with ultra-modern manufacturing techniques and extensive hammering to create value-priced cymbals with sounds that are both modern and traditional.

Zildjian creates their Mastersound hi-hats using innovative hammering techniques on the outer rim of the bottom hi-hat cymbal, resulting in alternating raised and lowered contact points that facilitate rapid air release. This creates a noticeably faster and cleaner "chick" sound, without sacrificing body in the overall sound of the cymbals.

  • Crisp Sound

As reviewed by Jordan on 4/5/2011

I recentely bought this because I had a cheap set of Hi-Hats and the price showed in the sound. What an upgrade... It sounds crisp and has a nice ring to it. I usually play with it slightly opened but it sounds great either way. I would consider myself intermediate and these are great for me. Experts tend to be more picky than me but if you're just looking for a nice sounding cymbal, this is it.

  • Brilliant Hat

As reviewed by Kyle Kramer on 4/11/2011

My friend and I decided one day to go try to find a decently priced hi hat because his were starting to warp. When we got to the store, we tried ALOT out, but we kept coming back to the ZHTs because they had such a crisp tight sound, but didn't have a crazy price tag. We bought it and immediately tried them out at home and we weren't disappointed. We got some of the cleanest hi hat sounds we had ever recorded. Buy these.
