  • Sweet Price, Sweeter Hi-Hats

As reviewed by juicebox93 on 1/9/2007

The ZBT hi-hats are a great pair, especially for the price. The ZBT's have a crisp, clean 'chick' to them and sound way more expensive than they are. Closed, they sound clean and thick, but open they sound average. But what can you expect from a low priced pair of hi-hats? If you are a beginning to intermediate drummer, I 100% recommend these hi-hats. Great hi-hats for a great price.

  • ok but not what you want

As reviewed by the_little_thomas_pridgen on 7/31/2009

to be honest these are ok but they're not clean sounding there's a bit of a extra unwanted sound after hiting, closing or anything you do to it i would suggest saving money and going for something much nicer like a meinl hcs pair or a pair of special K's

  • Meh...

As reviewed by Brandon on 10/13/2010

These are OK. Sound pretty good when you crash them, but there is a very annoying high-pitched ring that comes from the bell area (no matter where you hit them). I was told by a GC rep that this is common in these cymbals. If you are remotely interested in recording yourself play, whether it be for learning purposes or music composition, stay away from these. Paiste 5's will serve you way better. I purchased a set of Wuhan 14" ($88) and am amazed by the sound. Not as loud as the ZBT's (unless your crashing them) but much cooler looking and of course, they sound much, much better!
