A brilliant, fundamental hi-hat pair for the beginner. A great all-purpose ride!

Sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of ZBT cymbals magnify the basic sound of the distinctive ZBT alloy. The ZBT Hi-Hat Pair produces a sharp and focused sound with an excellent, bright "chick."

The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the Zildjian ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments. Sheet origin and precision lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly with a rapid decay. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent. The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Superb all-purpose ride cymbal. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones. ZBT-Plus cymbals take Zildjian Bronze Technology up a notch with advanced hammering and lathing, and enhanced sound for versatility, musicality, and professional performance.

I have gone through 3 pairs of these hi hats over a period of 5 years of studio and stage work and i will continue to purchase these every time mine break. I love the sound of these hats. I use them as an accent hat that i always keep half way open and cant find anything that works better than these. I had two pairs on my kit at one time and have only recently replaced the one with a much more expensive Paiste with only minimal sound improvement over these zildjians. Worth the 130 bucks to have them in your arsenal.

I've played on all sorts of hats from 15" A Customs to Paiste PST5s to B8, but the ZBT 14" standard hats sound by far the best. The sound great and have a good open sound if you like your hats close when they're open. My only complaint is that they have to be tightly closed to get good stick definition without any sizzle, that could just be my p.o.s stand though. All around good set of hats

  • Great hi-hats

Well I got the 13 inch about a year ago with the ZBT starter kit. Cracked the 14 inch crash in a few months, but these have held up beautifully, which I didn't expect from ZBT's. After all this time, they've just now cracked, and I'm definitely moving onto a more high quality pair, but the sound of gotten out of these is simply phenomenal. I play a lot of different styles, anywhere from jazz to metal, and I hit these babies HARD. I don't care what anyone says, they simply cannot be beat for the price, especially if you want to get a nice defined chick sound. The only downfall I can think of, is that you probably won't get a lot of bounce off of them. Still, get these. Great for beginners, and even intermediate players. You won't regret it!
