  • quite possibly perfection, my top choice in crash

As reviewed by AccurateSound1985 on 12/20/2006

They have a smooth buttery feel with a wonderful musical tonality. They work great in all types of music; I've used them in everything from classical to jazz to rock. I highly recommend the 16" and 18" models paired together. They have a perfect decay that sings with even the lightest touch. If you aren't quite sure what to get check these out, they are a good guideline of what a crash should sound like. Other cymbals I'd recommend are the A Custom Crashes (thin), K Custom Hybrid Crashes, HHX Evolution Crashes, or the Paiste Signature series crashes. Never skimp on your cymbals, you can always make cheaper drums sound better with good tuning and the proper head selection, but cymbals will always sound the way you buy them, so buy them wisely. If you have to save your money and wait, it pays off; cymbals have a bad resale value and you won?t get your money back from them later. Always try before you buy with your existing cymbals (or cymbals you plan to own). Good Luck.

  • great WHATEVER cymbal

As reviewed by zildjiandrummer1393 on 5/22/2007

i have the 18 inch crash and MAN does it sound amazing! when i got it i had already liked the K series since playing a set in my schools jazz band. i really liked the sound so i decided to buy the 18 (they had the same one on the jazz set)i got it thinking it was only going to be for when i play jazz but man i was wrong. i can use it for everything and it sounds great for everything i play. i want to get a 16 or 17 to add to my set in the future. i LOVE this cymbal and its %100 worth the money for it!
