Old school. New attitude.

The K Custom Dark is a unique crash with dry, trashy overtones. Fast response with very quick decay. Speaks quickly, then dies. Very dark and full-bodied.

Setting the standard for modern cymbal design, K Customs generate more volume and cut with a quicker attack and decay than traditional K Zildjians.

The most musical, all purpose crash you can buy!

I have the 17" K Custom Dark Crash and I must say it is one of the sweetest, most beautiful cymbals ever made. Although dark, it has a shimmer to it that cuts quite nicely and can blend with any bright/dark cymbals in your current setup. Very versatile and worth every penny. Once you have this cymbal, your look for the perfect crash cymbal is over.

K Dark Crash is the one for you!

Dark is the key here. These cymbals are PERFECT for either live shows with loud crowds or recording that needs that articulate crash response. The 16" Dark crash will definetly keep the fills in your drum kit alive. Pair this with the 20" K Dark Ride and you have yourself complete control over your music with the quick response. Definetly a must have for any serious musician.

Very Diverse Sound

I recently bought the 14" K Custom Dark Crash. It has a very low and warm sound with hardly any unwanted overtones. Although it is a jazz cymbal, it sounds great in funk rock as well. Its weight is classified as T (thin), so buying the warranty is a good decision.

Excellent Sound

This cymbal sounds great...I have the 15" version. It produces a splash like sound with a dark overtone. I didn't give it a perfect score only because it's so thin...It's ideal for low to medium volume set ups. I wouldn't recommend it to people who hit hard.

Great for a jazz gig

I play a lot of different types of music and this cymbal really sonds great during my jazz gigs. My cymbal set up for gigs is an 18 in. K Custom Dark Crash, a Zildjin Armend Ride, and A Mastersound Hi-Hats. This cymbal has an amazing low and slightly washy sound when you use it as a crash. It's also great as an alternate ride when you need to ride quietly.
