  • Amazing Grip !!! Great for Rock drummers

As reviewed by Roberto M. on 10/30/2006

This is an amazing trick and "must have" for rock drummers. The sticks sick to your hands during a whole concert and the grip-feel is awesome. No bad smell, no stickyness... this is Great stuff my friends. You'll feel much more confident during a live presentation, 'cause any kind of drumsticks will fall of your hands! Hey... don't put wax all over the drumsticks; just where your hands are holding them. Otherwise you'll have all your nice cymbals and drum-rims full of nasty wax.

  • No more butterfingers

    As reviewed by on 8/24/2006

This wax works great if you have trouble holding on to sticks. Especially during the winter when you grip is not as good. It is a nice, cheap alternative to grip tape. It is fairly clean, although not as clean as advertised. You will feel a film on your hands after drumming. If you choke cymbals or play the rim of the snare, it will also cause a little extra grime on your kit. The key is to not apply too much wax to your sticks.

  • Got grip but at a sticky price

As reviewed by Deluxe on 3/16/2009

I purchased this wax along with Pro-Mark Stick Rapp Tape and Vater Grip Tape so I could compare these products. Three categories make up my rating...Application (ease of use), Feel (comfort), and Grip (performance). APPLICATION = 3 - Pretty easy to use...just take the wax out of the container and rub it on the stick where you would place your hand. It doesn't take more than 10 seconds per stick. It DOES leave a residual film on your hands after you've applied it or have been playing. FEEL = 2 - It clumps to the stick (just like wax would to anything you rub it onto) so it changes the smooth diameter to a not so smooth diameter...not a bad feeling but just different. As mentioned earlier, it does leave a residual wax film on your fingers so you have to wash your hands, after playing, and/or before picking anything up (especially a glass of water). GRIP = 5 - Zildjian Drumstick Wax definitely has grip. I've not tossed a stick using this stuff and I don't have to squeeze the stick as tight as without wax (or another grip application). This would be the stuff to use if you needed grip RIGHT NOW! Over-all it's a good product but not the best.
