Zildjian Adrian Young Signature Series Drumsticks (102081296)
Availability:

Designed with one of the hottest players and biggest influences in modern drumming!

Zildjian Adrian Young Signature Drumsticks are among the most unique looking sticks available anywhere. The back half of the stick is black with Adrian's name printed on the stick in signature "No Doubt" text in a great silver checkerboard graphic, while the front half is white. Complemented by a black nylon tip for extra durability and clear projection, this Zildjian stick is truly distinctive.

The signature Adrian Young Zildjian stick is full sized and crafted from U.S. Select Hickory stick—16-1/2" inches in length and 0.585 inches in diameter. It's a perfect stick for rock, punk, ska, Burundi and every other style of music that Adrian plays.

Long Beach California native Adrian Young auditioned for the band No Doubt in 1989 with scarcely one year playing experience to his name, and he landed the gig. Adrian quickly proved himself to be a very solid and creative musician. His infectious rock/ska-flavored rhythms helped No Doubt achieve multiplatinum status with their 1995 major-label release, "Tragic Kingdom." Adrian has been able to masterfully blend his various rock, ska, and punk influences to develop a playing style which compliments his band and serves each song very well. After playing with the Vandals on a 2-week European tour, Adrian spent the better part of 2000 on the road with No Doubt in support of their release "Return of Saturn."

  • Bad

As reviewed by Matt on 3/23/2010

These sticks are great looking and sound just fine. But the problem is that the paint wears off onto your symbals and the sticks also wear out very quickly.

  • Great look!!

As reviewed by varelam13 on 8/15/2006

Adrian YOung is one of those flashy drummers that you just love to see perform time after time. And so it's no surprise that his signature drumstick be as flashy as he is! This stick looks awesome and plays that way too! It is longer than most sticks and has a nylon tip for better articulation on cymbals. The only defect with this product are those tips, they can come off rather easily. However, this problem can be fixed with a little super glue (just like some drummers super glu the tips of Ahead drumsticks). So if you like the look and feel of this drumstick, don't be discouraged by this minor flaw. There are ways around most things when it comes to getting what you want. Rock on!!

  • These are ok...not the best ive used.

As reviewed by Brian Schnee on 10/5/2006

I bought these sticks because of the look and I should not have! I played for about 5 minutes just to find that the tip had flown off. I eventually found it and had to glue it back on! Then I used them and the red of the stick comes off onto your cymbals and drum heads and rims! I dont mind stick marks but red doesnt work for me. Not a good buy for me and I have tryed many styles of sticks!
