  • Zildjian A Custom Medium Ride

As reviewed by Zilnik on 11/3/2008

This cymbal is the foundation of my set. Without my ride, i would feel naked. I have the 20" version of this ride and it's a very nice ride. The only downfall is that the wash can build up and the stick definition is not too clear. But with wash comes crashability. I use this as my third crash sometimes for breakdowns etc. I'm interested in a 22" K Dark Medium Ride now, but this is still a great choice for a ride.

  • Awesome ride!

As reviewed by J.P. on 6/16/2008

This ride really was what i was looking for. If your into jazz, go and buy a k custom. If heavy metal is all you do, go buy a z custom. If you want something thats great for all around, buy this!I will say that if you play just one style, this might not be for you. but if you play all styles, this is an awesome ride!

  • Pretty good

As reviewed by Steve on 5/2/2011

I was a little skeptical about this ride. I got it from a friend brand new who didn't want it, so I was somewhat nervous. I played on it for a few minutes and was happy I made that choice. I swear the cymbal sounds better as you play it more. It crashes well, as long as you don't just sit there and beat the crap out of it. The ride sound is good and not too washy, even for a metal player like me, and the bell is very cutting and high-pitched. It sounds great coupled with my 6" Zil Bel. The single best thing about this cymbal is I can use it at my school (jazz band, pep band), and I can use it for metal and hard rock situations as well. Definitely try this out at the store.
