The Yamaha P-95 digital piano gives musicians the dynamic, high-quality sound and natural, piano-touch response they expect from Yamaha, along with a high quality, built-in speaker system. No compromises, just Yamaha quality.

Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with matte finish of black keys:
Just like on a traditional acoustic piano, the keys of the lower notes have a heavier touch, while the higher ones are more responsive to lighter playing. The keyboard's sensitivity can even be adjusted to match your playing style. The Yamaha P-95 keyboard's graded hammer technology also enables the instrument to provide authentic touch in a lightweight instrument. The matte finish of the Yamaha digital piano's black keys enhances its luxurious appearance.

Compact, stylish design:
The attractive, slim, lightweight design of the 88-key digital piano suits virtually any interior dcor, and occupies less space than most coffee tables. No piano movers required.

Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) dynamic stereo sampling:
The AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) is a sampling system which creates the realism of an acoustic instrument by using digital technology to record the piano's sound and applying high-quality digital filter technology to the recorded audio samples. The waveform of the sound created by playing the key of an acoustic piano differs depending on the playing strength from pianissimo to fortissimo. AWM dynamic stereo sampling can produce such dynamic nuances by recording samples of various playing strengths. The greater the number of samples used, the higher the expression.

Built-in stereo speaker system:
This Yamaha digital piano uses highly efficient amplifiers that pack more sound into a lighter digital piano. With 6 watts per channel, these keyboards are ready to go whenever you are.

Essential sounds:
This Yamaha keyboard features an array of commonly used sounds such as grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, harpsichords, vibraphones, strings, and new choir and jazz organ sounds. Each of these sounds has been recorded and recreated with Yamaha's unrivaled attention to detail.

50 preset piano songs:
A selection of 50 different piano songs is provided for your listening pleasure. These recordings were chosen for their beauty as well as their functionality. Since many of the songs included in the Yamaha P-95 are classic piano pieces, anyone taking lessons can listen to them for reference.

best electric piano

By reza

from centreville, va

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

i've never owned a keyboard, and all my life ive been playing on an upright. i went in looking for something that i could take to college, that would feel like a real piano, and would sound like a real piano. the p95 is weighted so nicely, that i cant even tell im playing on a keyboard. however, if you dont like the feel, you can adjust the weighting. the sound is so crisp, and loud even without an amp. also, its so nice to be able to plug in my headphones and play all night. it has 10 different voices, but you can combine two voices together, which makes about 50. it completely surpassed my expectations, and its even better than my upright.

More than 10% better

By S. Gartner

from Yorktown Heights, NY

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

I just bought the P85 right before the 95 appeared. When I heard about the improved speaker, I made an exchange. The speaker is not more powerful, just better. Not great, but good enough so that I don't have to use headphones if I don't want to (like if I'm singing and playing, it sounds weird to anyone who hears it if they just hear my voice). The controls are slightly easier, but you still mostly have to press a button and press a key to adjust reverb, transpose, etc. But you can change the metronome time signatures a little easier than on the 85. The sound seems to be the same, maybe a drop better. I love the touch of both of them.

Much lighter Keyboard esp for those club casuals.

By William Zeke Hubel

from Langlois, Oregon

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

Being a pianist,I find the action is good. 25 lbs makes a big difference. Playing is hardly work for me. Its getting the gear there and getting it home that can be a drag. For more complex sounds, and concerts,I use the Roland RD 700,but that's at least 60lbs.without the case. So far, I like it

By Deena Hogue

from Fruita CO

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

I have used a piano all my years of playing and never liked the way a keyboard felt. Until this one! The keys are beautifully weighted to feel just like a real piano. And the sound is fabulous. I am thrilled to have this instrument in my home.

Incredible Keyboard/Buy

By Gordon Ah Tye

from Fresno, CA

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

I've been lugging keyboards for gigs the past 30 years. Fender-Rhodes first with great feel and sound, but only one sound. Yamaha Pf15 after that. Great sounds, feel, but heavy and tough to carry. Now I have this P-95 the past three years. All the features you could want in a digital piano. Great basic voices; weighted keys; practice speakers; Unbelievably inexpensive;and only 25 lbs! Moving this keyboard around now is easy for this old guy. The sound and feel is as good as my old keyboard and $1000 less. If you are looking for a great keyboard that performs as well as others much more expensive, this is the keyboard for you. I couldn't believe the price for the quality and features of this keyboard.

Great sounding piano

By Erik Alvarado

from Northridge California

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

For a 88 key piano this is actually a decent weight. This instrument has an amazing sound quality compared to others. Another reason to buy this is the key quality and feel, they feel realistic in the sense that they feel weighted similar to a real piano. So overall i recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive great quality digital piano.

Very Happy

By Nick Hudnot

from Los Lunas, NM

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

I'm very happy with the P-95. I'm a student of piano/keyboard, so not the most experienced in the world (but it says something to me that there are gigging/pro musicians who happily use this keyboard for certain applications), but to my fingers, the piano action feels very realistic, and the sound is good. My goal was to obtain a keyboard that has a realistic piano sound, a realistic piano feel, and a good harpsichord patch so that I can indulge my interest in old baroque music (especially Bach). On all three counts, I am satisfied. Having sampled a variety of instruments in this price range, I truly feel that Yamaha stands above the competition. I also feel that this keyboard is a great value. I studied harpsichord for a year in college, and wanted to be able to achieve a reasonable harpsichord sound. The harpsichord voice on the P95 is good. It could be better, but it is good - good enough for me. I'm glad that they didn't go for a very "grand" sounding harpsichord, as one might hear on a heavy metal record, but a more mellow sounding instrument, more like what I've actually played - a simple instrument with one set of strings engaged. I also admire that Yamaha has the good sense to make their harpsichord patch NON-touch sensitive. The action is still piano action (which is fine with me now - I doubt I'll buy or play a real harpsichord), but the sound and dynamics are harpsichord enough for me. A few of the other voices seem nicely usable - especially one of the electric pianos and the jazz organ. I didn't really buy this thing for a bunch of nice voices, though; I'd be satisfied with one good piano voice, and this easily does that. To me the only weakness of this instrument is that it doesn't get that loud. But it's plenty loud for me and what I need right now. I'm very happy with it!

Comments about Yamaha P95 88 Key Digital Piano:

Fantastic Keyboard!!! Great value for theprice. Weighted keys, everything you would find in a more expensive unit. Might be a bit on the heavy side, but it isn't for touring!!! Set it up in your music room and just enjoy!!!
