Overview

The Yamaha P-105 features an 88-note, Graded Hammer Standard weighted action keyboard to give you the same feel as an acoustic piano - heavier in the low end and lighter in the top. It has Yamaha's PureCF sound engine which accurately recreates the sound of their famous CFIIIS concert grand piano. Also new, the USB to Host port and line-level AUX outputs allow a variety of connectivity options with everything from an amplifier to an iPad. And 128-note polyphony ensures the suppression of dropped notes even with simultaneous Dual, Split, and drum pattern playing. In the EQ department, Intelligent Acoustic Control provides full, balanced sound that adapts to your volume setting for the best possible tone at any level.

PureCF-Sampled Piano
Sampled from Yamaha's own acclaimed CFIII concert grand, no digital piano in this price range delivers recordings from such a high-end instrument.

Pianist styles
This built-in duet partner plays along with you in one of ten different playing styles.

Built-in Drum Patterns
Basic drum patterns put the "fun" back into practicing and is a practical alternative to a metronome. Or turn your solo act into a two piece band where the dummer is always on time.

128-Note Polyphony
Even when using dual Voice and split mode with a drum pattern, 128-note polyphony ensures every note gets heard.

Intelligent Acoustic Control
Optimized for the built-in, 2-way, stereo speaker system, the P105 EQ automatically adjusts to your volume setting to ensure the absolute best tone at any playing level.

Assignable Split Voice
Choose two Voices and assign them to either the right or left hand. This is more musically versatile compared to a single, pre-assigned, left-hand bass Voice.

Yamaha P105 B (The Black One)

By michael britton

from Swedesboro, NJ

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Digital Piano:

I got the Williams Allegro for Xmas this year and while it sounded ok, it had some tonal discrepancies. Several keys had very nasal sounding tones and so I wound up wanting to upgrade to this piano! I love it! It's sampled from a Yamaha acoustic Concert piano and sounds very much like one. It gives the player the ability to tune the pitch of the piano, the amount of reverb and other tonal factors. I got it primarily for the Grand Piano, but have tried the other sounds and they are pretty cool as well. I am very happy with my purchase and hope to have this one for quite awhile!

Excellent digital piano for anybody

By Brian T

from Dallas,TX

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Digital Piano:

IThe Yamaha P105 is an excellent piano for anyone who is a beginner or advanced. The digital piano has 14 voice settings that sound amazing. The digital piano has a real piano sound and is very light for tis size. It also has graded-hammer-action so it will give the pianist the heaviness feel of the key. Just like on an acoustic piano. Its an outstanding digital piano for its price. You may not even find a digital piano on the market that can compete with the Yamaha P105. To conclude, I give this digital piano 5 stars and i hope you do too.

Amazing Keyboar

By Manny Realyvasquez

from Pomona, CA

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Digital Piano:

The piano voice is amazing. The GH feel is very good. The best suprise is when using the LP5A pedal set the far left pedal will make the Jazz Organ and the Rock Organ sound like you are playing using a Leslie. I would recommend resetting the keyboard when you first get it. Depress the far right key while powering up. There were voices that were not working correctly until I reset the keyboard.

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Digital Piano:

Just a beginner, but really like this product. Only complaint is the salesperson did not know? that a foot pedal came with the unit and sold me one. Although the one sold to me was better than what came with the keyboard....

Shop no more!

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Digital Piano:

I spent the past 4 months shopping on multiple web sites and visiting over 20 stores to get a great sounding with a good feel digital piano. As of 1-14-2013 I stopped looking and purchased the Yamaha P105. I've never owned a piano or key board and never had a piano lesson, but knew that in order for me to enjoy learning how to play, I needed to get something that looked, sounded and felt right for my hands. I read many reviews on a lot of pianos and key boards and thought Inliked what I read until I spent a few minutes messing around with them on the sales floor of many local music stores. I found that the Yamaha P105 was exactly what I was looking for. I went and bought the "Learning Piano for dummies" from Barnes & Noble and excited to practice every day. It sounds Great and feels good. It has many features that I am still learning, but the ones I know thus far is better than expected. I bought a stand and bench that were sold separately. Love the bench, but going to exchange the piano stand tomorrow. Way to bulky and doesn't "look" right with the P105. Listed below are model information for the bench and stand. Bench: Proline PL1250 DLX w/memory foam. Very comfortable. Stand: Proline PL400 Quick Release DBL Braced stand. Things I don't like. The sustain pedal that it comes with is cheap. Spend the extra many on a better 3 pedal system. I bought a separate stand that they told me to buy, but it is to bulky and big, so i am exchanging it out tomorrow for something smaller but with the stability of the double support stand I bought.
