The Yamaha Mango Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar (model APX500IIEW) is a 2013 limited-run model featuring exotic mango figures on its top board. It shares all of the benefits of the Yamaha's APX series with the added feature of a beautiful top. The APX Series places emphasis on playability with a stylish thin-line profile and slim neck that ensure the performance experience is perfect. This model features a body and neck of nato. The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. It comes equipped with System 65 electronics for an amplified acoustic sound worthy of the studio. Case sold separately.

System 65
System 65 features an undersaddle piezo pickup developed by Yamaha. Controls include a 3-band equalizer, an adjustable mid-range frequency control, and a precision chromatic tuner for optimum sound tailoring. The system is powered by easy-to-obtain AA-size batteries (sold separately) that provide a stable power supply for improved sound quality. Controls for the under bridge mounted piezo pickup are mounted on the instrument's side for optimum access. The battery compartment is also located on the side, close to the neck, to provide easy replacement.
