Overview

The Yamaha MOTIF ES7 76-Key Music Production Synthesizer features the largest wave ROM of any workstation keyboard: 175MB! An enhanced soundset of 1,859 waveforms provides the foundation for the Motif's 1024 voices plus 65 drum kits. A newly designed tone generator chip offers true 128-note polyphony, and a newly developed synth engine provides new parameters and faster, more precise envelope control. An enhanced effects system includes 20 reverb types and 49 chorus/delay types, 8 types of mastering effects including multiband compression, and a 5-band master EQ. It houses an advanced Phrase Factory arpeggiator with realtime loop remix capability plus parameters such as Swing, Velocity, and Quantize so you can easily modify preset arps. Overall expressiveness of the instrument has been expanded with the new "Mega Voice" system, a technology that makes it possible to include all the nuances of an instrument in the sample. Motif ES integrates seamlessly with DAWs via its USB connection to function as a control surface. It also has a USB To Device port for connection to USB storage devices.

Motif Addict!!!!

By da kid brent farve

from Boston, MA

In my early days of music production, I was dedicated to the Korg Triton. Then a music store salesperson, introduced me to the original MOTIF. Needless to say, it was over after that. I'm a real lover of acoustic sounds, and the MOTIF ES does not dissapoint!!!

Yamaha MOTIF ES7 A wise investment

By Cliff Avery

from Albany, NY

Bought my ES7 at the Guitar Center couple of years ago, and don't mind saying it was a wise investment. I have produced many projects with it along with performing out on it and have never been disappointed with it. Versatile and flexible it fits every situation I've used it in. I have also found so many usable sounds for it (many FREE) that I won't be bored with this keyboard for a long, long time. User support is strong and Yamaha seems to take an active role in its developement. I am happy with the USB ports and the various assignable outputs available. I like how the song and pattern modes can be used as voice assignments for specific songs or genera?s when performing. A push of a button and I?m where I want to be. I keep discovering new and fun ways to use this fantastic tool. This was a very wise investment.

By The Cumbustables

from Haverhill

This keyboard workstation has it all sampling great voices and effects i have yet to tap into all of its features as of yet i use the arpeggiator a lot for my music real shredding guitar which is a must the amount of arpeggiator types is huge hundreds in fact i find the programming to be a little difficult definately read the manual but once you go over it a little things are a snap quick and easy changes for switching voices it has a built in 16 track mixer which is key for doing live performances whether your a dj or in a metal band the drums are the most realistic sounding i've heard in years i was playing on a roland rs9 before and i wanted an upgrade i use this keyboard in conjunction with fruity loops 3 has great midi capabilities and comes with 4 discs of software for editing and mixing outside the keyboard via midi outstanding product!!! blows the doors off of other keyboard workstations for the price and quality
