Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

This mixer is clean. The sound quality is great and serves as a master volume controller for my Yamaha speaker system. I have the S5 pair with the Yamaha subwoofer hooked up to it and it really makes controlling them really easy. Great buy!

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

I bought this for stand-up gigging where I use a guitar, drum machine, and keyboard. I was wary of it because I needed the built-in reverb to be decent and the price is pretty low. But all the reviews I read were very positive and so I took the gamble and got one. The reverb passes with flying colors. Using Mogami gold cables for all connections, it produces very low noise. Although the controls are small, they are accurate. I also really like that it has a phantom power switch on the front panel. I would say its perfect for live gigging and even demo recording and I'm very picky. My recording gear and mics cost many thousands of dollars.

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

I found this was the perfect compliment to my pedal-board. I like the fact that I can put my XLR in and out to maximize the signal in such a compact area (one for vocals the other for guitar stuff). Really, went for this gadget mostly because it gives me the chance to have everything connected in one spot (just hit the power button in the power strip and everything is ready to go). It also allows me to have up to two more people to plug in. The effects are clear and very easy to use. I will likely get another one, for the next pedal-board. It makes life so much easier, to have it already calibrated to my liking before it shares one output. I added a picture to show how it worked out for me. I don't know why I haven't thought of this before.

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

I used this mixer for a live set recently. I play electronic music live and needed a small mixer to use for my Mics, Synths, and Laptop output. It worked well with that I was using and will definitely be using it from now on in my performances.

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

Ive been using this mixer for about two months with a Kustom 10" speaker and an AKG D8000M for rehearsal and Im very pleased with the sound. The PAD, HPF, and FX switches are useful and the effects (namely voice echo) sound great. This is a great mixer for light processing of live vocals. Wouldn't be too useful for recording purposes.

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

I recently began playing out as a solo act and needed a small mixer. This board is used with a Mackie powered speaker. My voice has one channel and my guitar in the other. The sound is crystal clear, no noise, amazingly adjustable through the EQs and desirable. The mixer itself has been reliable for over twenty shows in two months and is compact enough to fit in my harmonica case. Do not be afraid to purchase this mixer. Yamaha is a great name of accountability. I do not carry a backup board and feel there is no need to have one with the MG06X. The price was reasonable and well worth it.

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

I bought this mixer because of the XLR main outs to use in conjunction with my PreSonus FireStudio. Down at my rehearsal space we run all our vocal mics into Logic Pro X to take advantage of the EQ, Vocal FX, etc before sending the vocals to the PA. The PreSonus FireStudio only has Line Outs on the back of the unit and our PA Speakers only had XLR inputs. So rather than use adapters or XLR to 1/4 cables, which have caused noise distortion in the past, we used this Mixer to run the FireStudio to the PA Mains. It worked like it should and didn't give us any issues with extra cable noise. If your in a similar situation i would recommend this Yamaha.

              A great little mixer

              By Stephen

              from Houston, Texas

Comments about Yamaha MG06X 6-Channel Mixer:

I really like this product. I'm a stay-at-home alto sax player. This mixer sits between my laptop and a PA. It makes me sound good! Used to have a Behringer 802, but after several years, the right channel dropped out. That turned out to be my lucky stroke, however, 'cause it got me into the store, where I found this Yamaha unit, which I actually like better. It's smaller, looks good, and has all the features I need. I do agree with the other reviewer, however: The power cord is not very substantial, but hey: I won't be moving this mixer around very much, so it's no big deal. Also, I want to say that I appreciate the sales guy at my local Guitar Center. He was very helpful and professional.
