This is a great way to turn the "slab" piano into something more like an upright if you don't plan to move it regularly. While very stable, these type stands are not really made for transporting and I have seen them break trying to do so. My only negative is that the keys end up about 28 and 3/4" off the floor, which is more than many standard acoustic pianos. Not sure why Yamaha chose to make it that high and there's no adjustment. It's enough off that we found a standard piano bench not tall enough. Of course you can use an adjustable bench or stool, but you still have the pedal distance issue. So shorter people are not able to rest their heel on the floor while using the pedal. This is partly a problem with the pedals themselves being too high off the floor (also higher than regular piano pedals). But that is partly a problem with the pedals, not just the stand. This height issue is not a showstopper and I still find the stand functional. Just wanted to point that out in case it truly matters to a prospective buyer. My only other negative is that the wires are not completely hidden in the back and merely held by screw-in wall-mount type cable clips. This primarily would be of concern if you have the piano out in the room with the back exposed rather than up against a wall. I had a problem also with screws being missing in the package that hold the piano to the stand. However, I managed to find something at a hardware store that worked temporarily and Musician's Friend was very gracious to work out getting the screws from Yamaha and shipping them to me.

This stand is easy to install and has a decent quality. However, there is one big problem, which is the depth of the stand is so short that when the pedal bar is attached (separately sold), it doesn't give you enough leg room, and you have to unnaturally bend the knees when pedaling. The longer you use the pedal, the more you feel this and I almost thought to return these set...
Other wise it's a good stand.

Been using an X-type metal stand, wobbled all over the carpet. This is sturdy, I can fit my legs under it, it looks great, just what I wanted. Thanks!

In spite of being promised our PF85 piano would fit....there is NO way. I am doing major construction rework in an attempt to make it functional for us. DO NOT PURCHASE if for an older piano.

Just what I wanted to have a permanent piano style set up! Is a little unsteady if bumped since it is on carpeted floor, but works great.

The stand is a very necessary part of the digital piano set-up. The digital piano is so beautiful and I recommend that one buy the stand at the same time. The P35B is too valuable to set it on any old table top.The stand provides a stable and comfortable addition to the keyboard.

Purchased this for my P105B after having it perched on an X-stand for about 6 weeks. Was definitely worth the investment. Now the piano looks more like a piece of furniture and is much more stable. The keyboard attaches to the base with a few screws, so there's no sliding around or fear of it falling off or through the base. I don't notice any issues with the height, as some have mentioned. I have not yet installed the 3-pedal attachment, and it seems perfectly sturdy without it. Assembly was easy and there were no imperfections in any of the parts.

The wooden keyboard stand stabilizes the Yamaha keyboard, though it has not been mounted in the brackets. The stand and separately purchased pedal unit are significant improvements compared with metal folding frames and portable foot pedals. The wooden stand and pedal unit will be missed and even more appreciated when the keyboard is away from home.
