The Yamaha F335 is my third guitar. I was looking for an inexpensive acoustic guitar to replace my broken one. After trying so many guitars, this was definitely the one. It plays just as well as a Taylor, for less than half the price! I have the sunburst one... the color is beautiful, the sound is beautiful, and it's very comfortable. This guitar is great for everyone... if you're looking for your first or replacement guitar, this is the one!

The yamaha fg335 has greatbtone for such a cheap acoustic. When it came it was well packed. A couple of things I noticed was blemishes in the finish and noticing the paint on the guitar looks cheap.the intonation was fine but the truss rod was a little tight. That's why I gave it 3 stars. But I love the rest. The guitar has great sound. And it love the gold tuners. It seems to stay in tune well and it has great tone. That's all you need. Overall it's a great value and seems very durable even after a few hits .

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I haven't used it for gigs yet but it sounds great in the house and on recordings. It's pretty bright. If my only choices, were mellow, balanced, and bright, I'd go with bright. Good for leads. I've already written 2 new songs, they are lost in the wood of the guitar until you release them.... That's my theory for now, at least. I'd like to get a Mahogany bodied guitar next because it would complement this one well. But I do recommend this guitar. Mine is the tobacco burst, beautiful. Satin finish on the back of the neck was a pleasant surprise.

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar for my daughter about 6 months ago since she has been taking guitar in Junior High. She has played this guitar everyday and loves it. It is a great beginner guitar with a lot of tone and presence without breaking the bank. In this price range you can't beat this brand.
My daughter has decided to dedicate her music skills to guitar so I am sure that this will get hours of daily use throughout the years until she can afford to ugrade to a higher end guitar. For now this is great!
I suggest upgrading the strings to medium to really improve the tone quality of this guitar.

I have had this guitar for around half a year and I am loving it! It has the excellent sound that you would expect from a Yamaha, along with the looks of a professional acoustic. This guitar is amazing for beginner to experienced guitarists, and it is worth much more than its price!

Arrived in a nice factory package, well protected. However, upon removing factory foams, the finishes on the corners were already damaged. It doesnt affect the performance, but it just ruined a perfect present.

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I was in the acoustic guitar room at Guitar Center, ready to buy a guitar in the $250 range, on sale for $150 to $200. I had my heart set on an Epiphone PR-150... I love the tobacco sunburst PR-150, and I wanted an Epiphone because of the Epiphone "Pitchfork E" on the scratchplate. I tried the Epi, and a Fender in the same range. The Epi was rough... it sounded horrible and I actually cut myself because the fretwires were sticking out on the upper side of the neck. Then I saw the Yamaha F-335. It looked as good as the Epiphone,
but it played beautifully and it was silky to the touch, a smooth neck, no unground frets. Beautiful. And the tobacco sunburst is gorgeous... it has the Americana vibe I was looking for, even if it is a Japanese guitar.
This is my main acoustic now. I've considered buying 2 more so I can have one in each color that they offer.

My only gripe is that it does not have a strap button on the neck side of the guitar, forcing you to either do the old-school string by the nut, or to mount a strap button on the neck heel yourself. I did the latter. The scratchplate is also weird... the hard plastic outer piece is mounted on top of a gluey, soft, colored part that gives it its red tortoiseshell look. I accidentally popped the outer piece off, thinking that it was one of those protective coverings most guitars come with, only to find a sticky mess underneath. I quickly put the clear plastic piece back on. I may replace it soon with a one-ply scratchplate.
