The Yamaha F335 is my third guitar. I was looking for an inexpensive acoustic guitar to replace my broken one. After trying so many guitars, this was definitely the one. It plays just as well as a Taylor, for less than half the price! I have the sunburst one... the color is beautiful, the sound is beautiful, and it's very comfortable. This guitar is great for everyone... if you're looking for your first or replacement guitar, this is the one!

The yamaha fg335 has greatbtone for such a cheap acoustic. When it came it was well packed. A couple of things I noticed was blemishes in the finish and noticing the paint on the guitar looks cheap.the intonation was fine but the truss rod was a little tight. That's why I gave it 3 stars. But I love the rest. The guitar has great sound. And it love the gold tuners. It seems to stay in tune well and it has great tone. That's all you need. Overall it's a great value and seems very durable even after a few hits .

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

This is a good guitar. Its quality definitely matches its price, and that's fair. The sound is warm and clear with the stock strings (which aren't the greatest out there) so I can only imagine how nice it'll sound with a slightly higher quality string on it. The construction is fine for a guitar of this price. Don't expect it to be an heirloom. I bought this guitar so I can shake off some rust from four years without playing. It'll do just that, but I won't expect much more from it.

Most definitely a solid pickup at this price point.

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I used to play guitar a lot more than I do these days. I have several electric models upstairs in my "studio." I fancy myself more a drummer now but wanted to bring a little acoustic to my living room. I'm very happy with this thing. I've started remembering old songs I could play and that was the point. A quick guitar I can tune in a minute and play for a bit. It's totally worth what I paid...sounds great, solid mechanics... Not sure what else to look for at this price point. Oh, did I mention the black looks rediculous against an orange wall?

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

My beloved Fender DG-22S was starting to show some cracks in the solid top portion of the guitar, so I ended up selling it . I play in a Acoustic Duo and since I'm not made of cash , I needed something reasonably priced but effective. I had my eyes set on getting a Fender FA-100 only because I had sold one several months ago to a friend of mine and I knew for the price, they were quality dependable, instruments. Well, Gary who runs the guitar department at the North Attleboro, Mass. store, showed me this little beauty and to be honest, it blew away any Fender Acoustic I had ever put my hands on in my 45 years of playing ( I'm 57 ) . So when I got it home, the only change I had to make was to tighten up the tuners and change the strings. The action was perfect and the intonation was just fine. I don't have any problem with using a laminate just as long as it sounds great and this one blows away several solid tops I've played in the past. I can see myself gigging with this. Thanks GC and Gary !

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

After a lifetime of piano playing, I decided to learn how to play guitar. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a beginner guitar, and after having played a few guitars at my local Guitar Center, I bought this Yamaha. It's a good looking guitar, plays well, and stays in tune. If you are a beginner and are just wanting to learn how to play, this is a great option for you. I've been playing my Yamaha for about a year now and am about ready to graduate to a Taylor or Martin soon.

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar in store after playing many others. I had been trying out different guitars for months and had my heart set on a new Taylor, but when I went in to finally make my purchase, I picked up this Yamaha and really liked the way it played. It has great sound for an inexpensive guitar, fits me well and is easy to play. The only con I have is that there is a bit if string buzz, particularly on the low E string, but as I have the original strings on it from purchase, it may be that a better quality or different gauge string would resolve this. The salesman tuned it and polished it for me in the store, so I am using the same strings until I really have to change them. So far this guitar has held it's tune pretty well, I've only had to do some minor tweaking. My previous guitar needed tuned almost every time it was played, which was a real pain. I've been really happy with my purchase, and would get this one again.

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I have this guitar with Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze strings. The tuning pegs are a little loose, but the guitar holds it tune well. With the Aluminum Bronze strings, the guitar projects very well. It actually plays better to ME than an expensive Taylor or Martin. Just my personal opinion.

Make sure you swap out strings as soon as you buy it in order to get a deeper / richer sound.

Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years now. I went in to Guitar Center today to play on acoustic guitars under $200. Out of all the models that I played I was most impressed with this guitar. It frets incredibly easy and sounds really good. Playing bar chords on the 5th thru 9th fret are effortless. I highly recommend this acoustic guitar.
