Amazing quality!!

By Jorge

from Waco, TX

I must say that as a fan of Gibson, Martin, Takamine, and Taylor acoustic guitars; Yamaha is right up there with them in QUALITY!! I walked into Guitar Center just wanting to buy an inexpensive Epiphone acoustic/electric and the staff there convinced me that Yamaha was the way to go for just a few more dollars and that the guitar included a case! And its one heck of a hard case too! But back to the guitar. This baby is AMAZING! The tone is vibrant and clear and EVEN BETTER when plugged into an amp! I would truly not be surprised if this guitar could sell for more, it's definitely worthy of it!

Great guitar

By Robert

I shop carefully for almost everything I purchase. I really didn't have a strict budget for a guitar, but I wanted good quality, sound and value. After trying 5-6 other guitars upto about $1,300, I tried this Yahama. It clearly has better sound than many guitars priced several hundred dollars more. I especially liked the rich deep sound and the quality of construction. Yahama seemed to have gotten it all right on this one. I've also got to commend the salesperson, he was knowledgeable without being pushy. Three months later, I'm still pleased with my guitar and get a lot of pleasure out of it almost every day.

I regret this purchase

By Brandon Mcferrin

I spent about 4 hours debating on which guitar to purchase. I almost went home without one, but I really wanted to buy a guitar so I ended up with this one, mainly because it sounded pretty good and came with a hard shell case. It is a beautiful guitar and does sound well, but as far as playability, it's not the best. You can't really get the action low without problems. Mine came with the low E string a about 4mm and the high at around 3. This guitar only plays good with little neck relief. That's why you can't get the action low. The fretboard radius is pretty flat, so that's one reason I don't like it. This review is based on my opinion, so I would advise you to try it out for yourself.

Ordered a Takamine online recently and just wasn't too happy with it. It just was not set up properly from the factory. Build quality was sub-par. Went to Guitar Center and the guy recommended I pick this little Yamaha up. Never even considered one of these things. I instantly loved it. Action was perfect, neck super comfortable, just all around awesome. Build quality is amazing too, which is unusual for a Yamaha. And comes with a hardshell case? Can't beat it. Awesome deal.
