Comments about Yamaha A-Series All Solid Wood Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar with SRT Preamp/Pickup:

I bought this guitar based entirely on reviews. It was a risk, but I was please. The construction of the instrument is solid and the sound is smooth, clear and consistent, with a lot of clarity and projection. But I wasn't jumping up and down over it until I finally replaced my broken USB audio interface and was able to RECORD it.

    Oh. My. God.

This is the finest sounding plugged-in sound I've ever heard on ANY other acoustic. The mic emulation of the SRT preamp REALLY WORKS. Is it as good as sitting in a studio at Abbey Road and playing into a $3000 Neumann? Probably not. But is it better than the sound of playing into an affordable mic recorded in your wife's dress closet? Absolutely, by orders of magnitude. And for me to say a piezoelectric tone surpasses any level of real mic says a lot.

Put it this way: if I had $10,000 to spend on a custom build acoustic by a master luthier, I would still hunt down a cheap or broken Yamaha A-series guitar just to harvest the preamp from it, and I would ask the luthier to install it into the $10,000 guitar. That's how nice it sounds.

Comments about Yamaha A-Series All Solid Wood Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar with SRT Preamp/Pickup:

I have been nothing short of amazed at this guitar since I received it a couple of months ago. I played high in Taylor and Martin's that did have the richness of this guitar (and at a fraction of the price). This is my "go to" guitar. I can not recommend it highly enough. Expect to pay twice this for any other guitar like this Yamaha.

This guitar is Perfect! My buddy owns a Martin GCPA4 and prefers my A-Series. My Brother owns a Taylor 214CE and prefers my A-Series. Both are flabbergasted by the price, quality and sound.

          underrated

Comments about Yamaha A-Series All Solid Wood Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar with SRT Preamp/Pickup:

This is a very sweet guitar. It may not be a Taylor, but don't under estimate the quality. I did some very extensive research before upgrading and I agree with other reviews of this guitar- it's underrated. IMO this is the best bang for your buck. Seriously, do yourself a favor and take one for a test drive and let her sing to you- you'll fall in love.

          No other choice

Comments about Yamaha A-Series All Solid Wood Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar with SRT Preamp/Pickup:

Once you pick up this guitar there is simply no other choice. I have spend many years shopping for, collecting and working very hard to become a very average player. You cannot find a better selection at any price in terms of quality, attention to detail, playability and performance except for maybe another Yamaha Model.

          Awesome Acoustic!

Comments about Yamaha A-Series All Solid Wood Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar with SRT Preamp/Pickup:

I usually have very good experiences with Yamaha products. I own an electric bass and electric guitar. I really love their necks. When I got this acoustic it was beautiful. The neck feels incredible. The sound is very balanced and crisp. The preamp is outstanding with the Mic simulator which you really can get that perfect sound. Just an amazing beautiful guitar. Which is exactly what I expected from Yamaha.
