Yamaha's original Hexrack system amazed percussionists the world over with its forward-thinking design and amazing versatility. To take it to the next level, Yamaha listened closely to user feedback, consulted with staff artists, and went back to a clean slate to build and all new system one that delivers flexibility and strength even greater than before. The design of the all-new HexrackII starts with a new aluminum alloy that delivers strength far beyond what the original system offered while being amazingly light in weight. A refined clamp system features a new design that provides drummers with infinite possibilities and flexibility. The HexrackII also offers compatibility with the original Hexrack system, so owners of the original can use what they have with the new system.

Comments about Yamaha 2-Leg Hexrack with Hexagonal Curved Pipe:
Yamaha's Hex Rack offering has been around for a while. I've amassed quite a collection of their gear because it works. I own Tama's vintage Imperialstars and Superstars, Vintage Slingerlands, Yamaha's Rock Tour Customs, Recording Customs and Maple Custom Absollute drums. From the featherweight 7-piece Slingerlands to the 24-piece mighty heavy Imperialstars, the Hex Rack holds them all without fail. Got tired of the round tubing giving up the ghost. Pot metal clamps no more! Try mounting a large 20-inch mahogany floor tom off the floor on the other brands. Pearl isn't as user-friendly. My 26 and 28-inch bass drums are suspended off the floor too. The Hex Rack holds them all without fail! Yamaha's Hex Rack will support any and all 7/8" tubing. Bought Gibralter's Ball-mounts for the Tamas. I also put up a basic 6-piece Rack with seven cymbals. In a couple minitues I can swap another brand of drums! Your drums are only as good as the hardware that holds them in place! Anything other than the Yamaha Hex Rack is junk! Why risk your gear on questionable quality hardware? Get the first-generation tom clamps first with the Hex collar before they all disappear!
