I've have had mine for over a year now, and I gotta say I really love this keyboard. Yamaha has come a long ways with their products, and this is the most authentic piano sounding keyboard they've made. I run it through my computer then through my stereo shelf system and I love the sound it puts out (The honky-tonk piano setting sounds just like my old upright). Even in the drum kits, I was surprised at the authentic sounds. It has the sensitive touch, I turn it off and it feels and acts like a real piano that way. The only thing I could ask is if they would like double up the keys on some things, so you could do a drum roll (the prerecorded one is good, but kinda cheezy)or a cymbal roll with mallets. But otherwise, the accomp rhythms are great, I use the Country ones and they're pretty authentic as well, particularly the Country Swing being closest to the classic Country style. All the woodwind and brass instruments are really beautiful sounding, and so are the strings.Especially in the upper group of sounds, the XGlite Optional. The only other thing I ask would be PLEASE get the individual violins and cellos to sound more real, and the steel guitar also. I WISH they would improve on that. I love the guitar sounds on it. All and all I really love this keyboard, great quality sound at a good price. I have multi-track recording mixer in my computer and so far I have been VERY pleased and impressed at the recordings I get from this keyboard.

  • More Bang For Your Buck!!!

The Yamaha YPG 235 76-Key Portable Grand Piano Keyboard is a great deal for the money!! This keyboard has one feature that is called "Graded Soft Touch action", meaning that you can adjust the keyboard if you so desire to simulate the weighted action of a piano. This keyboard also has a great sound, try the Grand Piano setting and you won't believe you are playing a $300 keyboard. It has many, many features that you would not consider in this price range and it has that great Yamaha quality and value.

Terrific instrument. I also purchased the Roland KR 105 for over 15 times the amount I paid for this instrument and it performs just as well. Yamaha has a great way of doing things.
