Yamaha TRB-1005 Bass

I first heard this bass years ago and just about bought one. I bought the L-2500 G&L instead.Don't get me wrong...I really like my bass but when I saw the price on the Yamaha, I had to have it! I've been playing bass for over thirty years and I love this one! Quality,Tone, and a dream to play, I only have good things to say about this one. Try it...You'll love it!

Yamaha TRB 1005 will be my next bass

I've always played Fender basses and currently own a Precision 4 string, Jazz 5, and G&L 5. Having previously played a Yamaha TRB 5, I went to GC curious to see what they had. I played several basses, some costing twice as much, and the TRB 1005 was the best by far. All basses were played through a new Line 6 1x15 combo, a nice amp in it's own right. The TRB 1005 has volume and pan controls, and treble, mid, and bass boost/cut. With the controls set flat and pan set in the middle it has a nice fat tone, with fat lows and crisp highs. Roll the treble up and the bass up and it gets deep and growls. It seems you could play any style on this bass. The 35" scale gives the low B nice clarity, and the 3 band preamp provides a wide array of tones. Very articulate! This will be my next bass, as I'm saving my pennies. I may even put it on my GC card. Try it and you'll be impressed, especially when you look at the price tag.

Yamaha TRB1005 is a steal

I always thought that I would be a 4 string guy until I found this bass. The low end is clear and amazing. The spacing, neck and playablility is perfect. I had looked at 5 strings before but the only ones that I liked were $2500 plus. When I bought this bass, I compared it to the Warwick and Musicman. Not only did it hold its own sound wise, I thought the neck had a better feel. And, considering that you can buy 3 of these for the price of the Warwick, you can't go wrong with this bass. D. Welch

SLAMMIN' BASS!

I tried this bass out at a local Guitar Center. It stood out above the rest of the basses that were there even before I picked it up.Once I picked it up,plugged it in and started playing, it was over! I fell in love with this bass! Awesome sounding, easy, smoooooooth playability and the natural color looked beautiful to my eyes! This will most definetly be my next bass!

Rock it down low with this monster

I picked this bass up yesterday on complete impulse while buying a new AMP. I blown away by the great low tones of this bass and great quality. The pickups with the active electronics have a lot of punch and the boost and cut features really deliever. I was looking for 5-String and did not even think about Yamaha until a saw this beauty - I picked up the Natural colored model and the finish is excellent. Get your hands on this monster tone machine and rock it down low!
