This little boomer is just the ticket for getting a big sound on a small stage, especially when volume is an issue. It's darker and has more sustain than other 18's I've owned, partly because of the six lugs per side rather than the usual eight. Adding more attack to balance the tone took the right head combination, some careful tuning, and minimal dampening in just the right spots. Now this is one sassy lil' kick!
