One person can easily handle the Yamaha STAGEPAS 300 Portable PA System. The easy-to-use, ultracompact design incorporates 2 - 2-way loudspeakers, a 6/8-channel (4 mono, 2 stereo) mixer, and dual 150W amplifiers to provide a reliable sound system.
Each speaker contains an 8" woofer and 1" compression driver, driven by an efficient 150W (x2) Class D amplifier. The mixer features balanced XLR connectors, mic/line switches and balanced 1/4" jacks, 2-band channel EQ, and switchable 24-bit digital reverb. RCA connectors with separate level control for a tape recorder or a CD player are conveniently located on the front panel, plus stereo-out and monitor connections.
For added convenience, both high-impact molded speaker enclosures are polemountable with optional ADP138 adapters from Yamaha, and rear compartments house the mixer, cables, mics, and accessories.

This package was perfect for my needs. I practice with a 4 piece band and my drummer plays really hard. I needed something simple for my vocals to cut past the kit. This setup was perfect. Not too many features to confuse things, and plenty loud. This package is all you'll need.
I was asked to DJ for our elementary school halloween party. Don't let the small size fool you it packs a punch...good things come in small packages...........EHC
I have to say, I was a bit concerned when I opened the box and saw the size of the unit. I also thought I had missed something seeing that it only took me around 5 minutes to get the whole unit assembled. My concerns were gone shortly after I turned it on. I couldn?t believe the sound quality and volume this thing had! To give it the ultimate test, I used it for a karaoke gig at the club I play at on Fridays. This unit put out ample volume and bass. The owner of the club was equally impressed. The lack of speaker mounts and the strange reverb (more of an echo) effect were minor setbacks; but I would trade those any day for the overall performance of this system. I?ve used the mixer for some recording on my laptop with a good deal of success as well. The storage compartments in the back of the speakers are very convenient too. All I can say to anyone looking to buy a PA for DJ, KJ, or a small band, look no further than this system.
