I have used these with a sub to run several large DJ/Karaoke events. You will not need a sub for small to medium size venues. They sound fantastic and really pump out the volume. Voices are crystal clear, they have very good low end, and the overall sound generates very positive responses from clients.
Take it from someone who has been there and done that. In the last 15 years I have used Peavey, Cerwin-Vega, JBL, and recently Harbinger. This year I bought the S115V Club series and they are by far the best speakers I have ever owned. Dynamic, clean, reliable, and loud enough that half the time my subs stay home! I love em, worth every penny and more!!!
These speakers sound good at any volume crystal clear, bass sounds good I use a qsc gx5 power amp and these speakers thump my first speakers i ever brought had them for about six months. Ever one love how they sound at a party loud and clear.
