  • Great Product

As reviewed by Joe on 5/28/2014

I bought this for my DTX 522k and I'm happy that I did. I mounted it on a Yamaha HS 740 A high hat stand and it looks and sounds great even when splasing. I have had it for about two weeks now and I play at least 4 hrs a day and the controller pad doesn't even look like it's been hit. It seems like it could take a good beating. Yamaha even has a tutorial on how to mount it to your high hat stand.

  • Excellent electronic hi-hat

As reviewed by JAMES on 7/14/2014

I bought the RHH135 to replace the PCY100 cymbal/HH65 pedal combo that came with my DTX522K. The RHH135 is a 10,000x improvement over the pedal and pad setup - the feel, response, and overall satisfaction are just better. I was a little disappointed when I first plugged it in, but then remembered to set the hi-hat setting in the module to RHH135... that gives it a better edge sound and some response to pedal pressure - I have different sounds for open, close with a little pressure and close with a lot of pressure. It is a little heavy, so make sure your hi-hat stand can accommodate the extra weight. I also tried the Zildjian Gen16 hi-hats and have no regrets about moving to the RHH135. For the money, this is an excellent hi-hat trigger.
