Why Buy High?

I used to work for Guitar Center (A looong time ago) and I have listened to hundreds of different headphones(owned half of them) These are a little bass heavy ,but overall clarity is very realistic , live recordings will impress you quite thouroghly. the first time I listened to them I put in a Live concert that was well recorded, and the hair on the back of my neck stood up when the audience began to swell just before the band hits the stage (You know what I`m talkin bout) . Next is efficient use of power. At 98db per mw you can turn the bass down and the volume down on the portable. How does that translate? Battery life! Volume goes down Battery life goes up and you still sound good. I do alot of portable recording (MD , and Pro deck usage) Live acoustic groups ,Jazz bars, My own stuff, even though these are "Semi Closed" they block out enough for you to hear the detail in what you capturing. Also they keep enough IN so that the people next to you on the train dont want to clock u. Peace..............(AKG, Sennheiser,Bose,......hangit up OK)

GREAT VALUE

Having been in the entertainment most of my adult life (55 years old now), I can honestly say that I've used just about all of the name brand headphones available. That said, in my opinion these phones are absolutely the best bang for the buck out there. I've been using this model for over 12 years. As I use them mainly for live mixing I have to have not only flat response but durability as well. I get both with these phones. The only small issue I've ever had with these is that over a period of several years the ear coverings will deteriorate. On the other hand this might actually be a good thing as it's a really good physical reminder that the drivers have seen a bit of fatigue as well. So time for a new pair!

Excellent value

These headphones are good DJ headphones. The headphones have a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. They have a high power handling, but I recommend not going past 65mW or they tend to lose sound quality. They are made pretty well but I believe the cord may easily break so be extra careful bending the thin cord.
