For what it is designed to do, I LOVE my Pocketrak! I've purchased soon after they came out - primarily to record rehearsals. However, its size makes it so portable I keep it with me almost all the time.I store a few MP3's on it that I use frequently - as an MP3 player. I record ideas as they come to me. I play them back in my car (many newer cars have an aux jack for such things). Of course with the tiny speaker built in, you can do some quick spot-checking as needed.
The quality of recording - especially (even in MP3, but expecially in .wav) is impressive for such a tiny device! And with the built in USB it is SO quick to transfer files to (and from) my PC. I often will upload into Sonar for editing or turning into personal CD's etc.
Simple to use, quality recordings, convenient size and excellent features. Battery life is impressive as well. If I were to lose mine, I'd buy another today.
This little recorder is so easy to use. The Pocketrack 2g produces reliable crystal clear recording every time! It stores easily in your pocket or in any instrument case. I use it for learning new songs and recording musical ideas. The price can't be beat. It also works great for recording band practices to learn new material.
This little recorder actually does one thing well. It gives you a decent quality recording. However, it has almost no features at all. & the small amount of features don't allow you to edit your songs at all.
The Cubase software is almost impossible to load to your computer. You almost need to take a class to learn to work this thing. & good luck finding online instructions. They don't exist.
