The Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp is power rated at 950W/ch @ 4 ohms, 700W @ 8 ohms, and 1,900W @ 8 ohms bridged.
I used my amp for the first time this New Years Eve at a Bowling Alley with a pair of S115V's. WOW!!! is all I can say, this amp really push speakers to their limit and that's without a external processor. I just used the built in YSP and this amp filled the room with thumping music all night. I also used it with a pair of SP-5's and got the same good results. I can't wait to buy a second one for my sub's.

Some time ago I purchased the P7000S power amp from my local Music store. I was skeptical as to whether the amp would drive a 2 ohm load for our four (4) monitor speakers on one side, while powering a 4 ohm load (2 speakers) for the mains, on the other side. After much assurance from the Music store I gave this amp a whirl. Let me tell you... not only did it handle the load smoothly, it soared! After a few jobs I am still in amazement with this amp. It's half the weight of other amps, and a real power-house to boot. Take my word for it... don't be afraid to drive this "Bad Boy"! It doesn't even work hard enough to get more than slightly warm to the touch. the Sound is great and has lots of "fullness". Between songs it's dead quiet as well... which is much appreciated by all. Don't be afraid to drive a two ohm load..... it ROCKS!!!
