WELCOME TO FLATLAND!

These are the monitors to live by they are true frequency by frequency. After using these speakers i have gotten way better at my mixing and the fact is that if it sounds good on these it will sound good on anything.. the results are amazing it has a tight low end responce with a clean high section and a punchy mid's not like other monitors that color the low end and lack on the high's these puppies are what you need to finish your set up.. yea you can spend more money on expencive monitors but why when all you need are these.. easy on the ears and an amazing back panel what more can you ask for i do this for a living i sit in front of these for 10-12 hours/day best investment ive done to date... get these cuz if you dont then dont even try to mix anymore....

There is some hiss, nut it almost unnoiteable

Very good sound, even in low volume. Good bass, mid and high. (Even better than BM5A or ADAM A7 that I checked before buying) Good resoultion. Low price. There is a hiss, so I always need to play something if I don't want to hear it.

Hissing sounds

There is an audible hiss that can be heard from the HS80M and a lesser hissing sound from the HS50M. If you play music, the hissing sound goes away and the sounds that come out of the speakers are awesome.

Quality

Sonic quality over the human audible range is very consistent and flat. Nuances of sound unnoticable in most monitors come through on the Yamaha HS80M. The size and wattage makes it ideal for studio use or for use with a personal keyboard. Guitars and drums come through crystal clear with very little to no distortion, a feat difficult in monitors that cost more. Coupled with a high quality amp with built in EQ, this monitor can deliver most sounds produced by synths with high definition.
