Studio Quality at a Great Price

I previously had KRK RP5's that I loved to death. But I knew I was in need of something with a slightly more accurate sound preferably with a flat response and did a lot of research on these. After buying them, I really had to do quite a bit of adjustments to previous and current music projects as I began to hear things that needed adjusting immediately. I've always played my mixdowns on multiple sound systems to gain an overall balance before finalizing the song, and this has really eliminated much time doing that. Of course I still do it for my own second opinion, but nonetheles, I can't believe I didn't have these monitors from the beginning. This is a great investment and will definitely help you tune your music better. The bottom end is a little lacking so you will need to compensate in your for that, or get a sub, but I don't see this as an obstacle whatsoever. The frequencies are extremely crisp. Once your mixed your music to sound superb on these, its guaranteed to sound great anywhere its played. This is a must buy for someone on a budget or does not have much room for the ideal studio set up.

amazing for the price

I was happily suprised to get these home and find they sounded much fuller and were more versatile than expected. I was looking for a reference pair or monitors to A-B with, and as such expected them to punch too much mid-range frequencies and keep out too much bass (basically, be 'tinny' like NS10's). What I heard instead was a suprisingly flat and punchy response across the board. Obviously they are lacking some bass but that's to be expected. I find I enjoy listening to music more on these than on my main pair of speakers. I'd reccomend them to anyone looking for a small pair of monitors.

What U Need

Ok, so I was looking for some quality moniters to replace my Rokit 5's (and I honestly didn't think it was possible) when I came across these Yamaha's. Never have I heard studio moniters sound so clear without distortion regardless of how loud they are. And mixing on these are crazy!! They really give you true sound so that you get the best mix YOU possibly can do (based on your abilities). I love them and I have officially welcomed them into my studio family. And the crazy thing is, i've only had them for approximately 4 hours!!! GET YOU SOME!!! That's all I have to say! GONE.......

Just what I wanted

I have owned Event 20/20bas monitors for several years(excellent)I wanted a smaller speaker to know what my mix would sound like on a smaller stereo set up. These fit right on top of the Events only I turned them on their side for my set up. They need more gain to reach the volume of the Events because of less power, but they sound clear and very transparent. Darn good bass response for their small size. I got a deal and paid $300. for the pair. I am very pleased with them and would buy again if something happend to them. My only complaint it the Yam logo that lights up is a little annoying, but some black tape will fix that.

5'' Monster

In building a home recording studio solid monitors help. At the end of the day from the beginning to the end of the signal you have to have quality equitment to process the sound. And while the price tag is high you get what you pay for. The sound is true. So what you hear is what you get when you go to mix/master your recordings. I highly recommend these speakers you won't be disappointed.
