Just got this guitar today and so far I can tell you that it's amazing. When you first receive the guitar and plug it in, don't be alarmed! Tweak with the audio a little bit and you hear exactly what you've been want to. This is a very good quality guitar. Light guitar, but yet it doesn't feel like a guitar in this price range. I encourage you if you're interested in this guitar, do some research! It doesn't hurt to go to YouTube for some sound research. If it sounds like crap on the video, check to see if they are plugged into an amp. If they are, don't freak out! They must not have a good ear for the right sound. All it takes is a couple minutes of tweaking until you get that adrenaline rush of, "Yes, I have found the perfect guitar for now." if you have the natural guitar and put it into the light, check out the back! it's pretty awesome looking. A cherry wood type look.
I bought this guitar a few years back, and it's never given me one problem. I've taken it camping, dropped it, neglected it for days at a time, and yet it's never failed to perform. I honestly have no complaints, other than the electronics take a little bit of getting used to. And for the price?? You can't get a better guitar than this for less than $500. I absolutely recommend it for any player. side note...you can't really see it in the picture, but the soundhole is larger than normal. i dont know why. but it affects playing in no way, i didnt even realize it right away.
I've had this guitar for about two weeks now. It looks awesome and is very comfortable to play especially with cutaway. I've plugged it in a few times and it sounds amazing. The equalizer on the preamp works well, i like to set it to have a little more bass, but i know other people often like a little more treble, and it works fine for that too. I haven't run out of battery but i do know that the battery indicator lights up when the battery is low and I'm sure that will be helpful. The guitar sounds great and it's only $250. And don't tell him, but I think it's better than my father's Martin and it's definitely easier to play. This is a great guitar, but be sure to go and try it out yourself along with a few others. when i went to Guitar Center i had also tried out the Fender T-Bucket 300CE and it seemed pretty good too, so you might wanna check that one out too.
