Rich bass, stays in tune
The Yamaha FG750S definitely does stay well in tune, though its bass can be alternately rich or overpowering, depending on what sound you're going for. I found myself trying to compensate for that as I played, but if you like a deep bass (or are willing to restring it) then this is the guitar for you! Good features and great quality for the price.

Play this before you buy any acoustic under $1000
Well, after shopping Martin, Fender, Seagull, Ibanez etc.....I bought the FG750 - and it was never even on my list. After several hours and looking at the $1000 ++ guitars - this one was the complete package - the sound and playability is remarkable and nothing I had in my hand at twice the price ($349) sounded like this. If you are going to drop $1000 - buy a Breedlove - if you are under $1000 - this is the value buy - great workmanship, easy to play, fantastic sound (low, mid, high) and plays well right off the rack...this is a steal at less than $500 - and it is beautiful and easy to play. My best investment in a long time

Nice Guitar for Price Range
I got the fg750s a few months ago and it truly is a great guitar. Features such as fancy binding and nice tuning machines make it a pretty nice guitar. I had played other guitars in this price range, and even though it is about 25 or 50 bucks over other models you may find, this really is worth the extra money. It has a ton of bass, and a lot of warmth, the action is pretty good, and it stays in tune very well. For the price range it is a little high, but well worth the extra cash, truly much better than anything else i played in the price range.

bright and good value
This is by no means a quite guitar. The first thing you notice is the bright loud nature of the guitar. It a fair amount of low end, but the overall impression is defined brightness. I switched to phos bronze strings to get a better balance.
You will notice also that the guitar is surprisingly light and the scyamore sides and back are stunning. It has that electric guitar look of quited maple. The black and white binding make the guitar look far more expensive than it really is.
The tuners on the guitar are very smooth and precise and it doesnt go out of tune. I only wished they used real bone. Other than that...its great.

Worth more than I paid for it
I have some friends that play, and I am just learning. When I got it, and took it over to them to show them, they were truely impressed, and were shocked that I paid so little for this guitar (It was on sale for $299.00). I have one friend with a much more expensive guitar that is thinking of picking this one up at it's current price, as it is such a nice guitar.
I HIGHLY recomend it to anyone that wants a good guitar, no matter what the stage in their play.

Plays Good, Feels Good, Sounds Good too.
I am a Prison Minister and I go and sing songs I have written, and others to inmates within the prison system. I had a 12 string break on me and I needed a Guitar that had a loudness to it and played easily because I am a beginner at this still. I was amazed at the tone and projection of the sound as I played. I think it handles easily and light to carry a long distance inside the prisons. I have a friend who plays me under the table and is very good on piano too, tell me he loved it. He was interested in getting himself one.

Cheap Thrill
I recently purchased this guitar and I can't put it down. The sound is bright, the action is honest and I get terrific ring tones from anywhere on the neck. If you bang it really hard it will buzz - this ain't no Gibson. But treat it right and it will take good care of you. I'm not the biggest fan of blond guitars, but I like this one a lot. Give it a try before you rule out a Yamaha. Lot's of value here for the money.

good guitar but not for a lifetime
this is an amazing guitar that plays beautiful rich chords, but is not amzing. it is amazing being strummed and fingerpicked, but sounds horrible out of tune, which comes often. if you're patient then this would be a good guitar.
