Great looks and feel at an incredibly affordable price.

Yamaha's acoustics have a well-earned reputation for their consistency and quality, and the 720S is no exception. The heart of this sweet dreadnought is a solid Sitka spruce top expertly braced and attached to a nato body. It also has die-cast tuners, a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, tortoise pickguard, and white/black body and neck binding.

Yamaha FG720S Acoustic Guitar Features:

  • Solid Sitka spruce top
  • Nato back and sides
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Rosewood bridge
  • White/black body and neck binding
  • Die-cast tuners
  • Tortoise pickguard
  • Limited lifetime warranty

Way more than a beater!

I was looking for a guitar to take to festivals and jams, etc. I was prepared to sacrifice a lot of performance and tone to get something that was cheap and that I would not worry about too much. To get to the point--this guitar is far beyond my expectations. Big sound, nice bass, not boxy sounding, some power in the trebles, and it actually has some tone (not a Martin by any means, but it might make folks do a double take...what guitar are you pickin?). I don't know much about these cheaper Yamahas, but if this is an example of what they do, I am impressed. This is good enough to be your only guitar. I am serious about that.

Yamaha FG720S

I has been playing a Yamaha electric and decided to try one one their acoustic guitars. After doing alot of research and trying several different models I settled on this one. the FG720S has a rich deep sound and marvelous sustain. I found the strings a bit stiff but that's something I'm sure to get used to. One other thing, the finish is a bit delicate so you want to be careful not to bump it. Great price, value. Playabillity excellent.
