  • FC3 close to a real sustain pedal

    The Yamaha FC3 pedal, like the Yamaha FC4, is a dual zone half sustain pedal, but that is where the similarity ends. The FC3 has the pedal height, resistance, and travel similar to a Steinway, whereas the FC4 is shorter, with less pedal draw and too little resistance. Also, the FC3 is about twice the cost of the FC4 but well worth it. I was using the FC4 for recording with my digital piano, but found the sustain attack a bit off. With the FC3 it was right on the money. I simply switched and began using the FC4 as a soft pedal.

  • Gives very realistic sustain sound

    This pedal is a wonderful complement to my Yamaha CP300. The sustain sound is very realistic and, the pedal gives a very smooth operation. The pedal is well constructed and holds in place on the floor where it is placed.
