  • How is this guitar so inexpensive?

As reviewed by Brent on 2/15/2011

My first guitar was a Takamine and then a few years later I upgraded to a Taylor 514ce. I'm not going to ridiculously sit here and compare this Yamaha to the Taylor. But recently my girlfriend was picking up a little bit of guitar and I wanted to get her something inexpensive that she could practice with to see if she wants to really take up guitar as a hobby. After highly considering a Fender and a couple of other Yamahas I found this guitar. I couldn't believe the price-tag on it. After a quick tweak of the truss-rod the action was very manageable. The tone is full, balanced, and the instrument carries good volume. The tobacco sunburst is beautiful. My girlfriend was convinced I had dropped some serious cash for her, when in fact it was one of the most inexpensive guitars in the shop. This guitar is a great bargain!

  • Bought this for myself when i was 13.

As reviewed by Felipe De La Torre on 8/17/2010

It was a week after christmas..$175 in my pocket..went to gc and started messing with some acoustics and simply fell in love with this guitar. Seamless action, beautiful tone, reverb is perfect and natural. Its been 3 years. It has taken a good beating....over 5,000 hrs plus of playing...its fallen, cracked...but tht didnt matter..the sound and quality and feel is still perfect..this is truly an aging beauty.I would recommend this guitar to any beginner or professional. I am a professional, and this guitar will be my all time fav.

  • Great Acoustic

As reviewed by Dante on 2/13/2011

I bought this as my first acoustic since I needed it for a different sound than my electric. The finish is great and neck is nice and it stays in tune for weeks. The only con is the frets are very small. Great deal for the price
