Yamaha F345 - The secret to good sound
Overall impression: The F345 Is extremely well-build, sounds great, and has unusually good intonation. The action and looks are pretty wonderful, too.
Playability: The F345 has a good neck profile to grab chords or to fingerstyle-play your favorite melodies. The design is comfortable, the fret ends are nicely finished, and the overall weight of the guitar is comfortable for people of most any size.
Sound: The sound of the Yamaha F345 is where the real beauty steps in! The combination of excellent brace voicing and sycamore top gives this instrument a delightful warm sound that is loud enough for small ensembles, and clear enough for recording. The bass side is warm, and the treble is not as thin as most sub-$500 guitars. The intonation really shines on the F345. This is one of the few affordable acoustics I?ve ever purchased that has intonation that doesn?t drive me crazy when I?m trying to make a recording.
Value: This guitar is worth far more than it costs! It?s a well-kept secret.

Good Value Guitar
I've used this guitar for about a month, and really liked the deep rich sound of it. The more recent Yamahas have impressed me by the quality of sound and workmanship per dollar.

Excellent Sound
To the point: A friend has an acoustic that he got for near a grand, and I got this Yamaha F345 one for less than $300. The better sounding one? My cheaper, Yamaha built acoustic. The tone is absolutely amazing with mild high end tones and really nice low end tones while the volume is nice and loud compared to some other acoustics. Whether you play rock, country, folk, or jazz, this guitar's sound can fill about every genre you can think of. The tuning is nice and tight and as hard as I play sometimes, I only have to tune it about once or twice a month and haven't had a single problem with it within the year I've owned it. For any musician looking for low maintenance and the best sound you can buy for a good value, this is definitely the guitar for you.

Yamaha F 345 Sycamore Top Acoustic Guitar
This guitar is really impressive, my friend owns one and it is just great to listen/play. The tone is really decent, fat and rich. Especially my friend sets up Elixer strings, which make it sound fantastically nice. The acoustic sound is really great, the reverb is strong and clear, finger board as well, nice and smooth. Finally I have to say, this guitar's value weighs more than its price, worthed!

Great, Versatile Instrument
The Yamaha F345 is an excellent instrument. It sounds a little high on the treble end in the beginning, but once the spruce top really opens up and becomes porous, it produces wonderful bass tones. I have used this guitar for many different venues, and have not felt the need to purchase another acoustic. It is great for playing folk tunes, blues, or acoustic rock. I have also played some slide tunes on it. I've not noticed any problems with construction or unusual wear since I have owned this wonderful instrument.

i love it.
first of all, you haven't really seen it until you've seen it in person. its got beautiful wood, and you can see the lines of it. beautiful finish, and the picture doesnt do the red tortoise shell pickguard justice. it's so pretty that i didn't get a natural guitar and went the extra money for this more attractive, intense look and it was SO worth it. second, the sound is beyond great. i dont know if it's a solid top, but it doesnt matter because it sounds so good as it is. it has a really rich, deep, full sound when i'm strumming, and when i'm picking, the notes ring clear, high and sweet. this was my first guitar, and it's probably the best beginner's guitar out there. it has a surprisingly full sound, and an incredibly beautiful look. yamaha brought the world yet another perfect, inexpensive guitar.

Nice guitar and great price!
I checked other guitars in this price range, like Epiphone, Takimine, Ibinez, Mitchell and a couple others and they had nothing that came close to the Yamaha 345. The workmanship is very good and the string action is the low and plays like butter. The only knock and it is only a slight knock is that it is a slimmer model which cuts down a little on the volume it puts out. But it still sounds really nice with good tones and again plays easier than anything I tried out. I would recommend the Yamaha 345 to anyone. Very nice guitar!

Amazing Tone
I bought this guitar, thinking from the previous ratings it would be a great buy,However, this guitar was not what I expected it to be. It was decent I was hoping for a better tone, but overall if this is going to be your first acoustic then I would recommend this guitar.
