i played this bass at a local music store in my area, except it was a bright metallic orange, which i dont see as a color choice, but i digress.
what first drew me to this bass was the strange pickup combination. this particular combination sounds incredible, and whatever they did to the j pup, worked. it sounds incredible, very fat, bassy sound with tons of bite and growly mids.
the only complaints i have is that this combination of pups (especially the yamaha style j pup) tend to get in your way if your slapping or just really digging in close to the neck. this bass was obviously designed for sheehans fleet-fingered, close to the bridge shredding, but make no mistake, it sounds great no matter what you play.
