  • FENDER BETTER LOOK OUT !..!

    I just received my Yamaha BB425x a couple of days ago in Vintage White and it is by far one of the best basses I played in that price range. It is considerably louder than my Fender P-bass and is more versatile because of the P&J pickup configuration. I was pleasently surprised with the build quality, and the only problem I encountered was a striped pickup adjustment screw and one call to Yamaha Parts Department fixed that. I should be receiving the replacement screw in about a week. Some of the features I like on this bass are the 5 piece maple neck with mahogany stringers, and only one word can describe this new neck construction: SOLID! I also like how the bass is strung thru the body at a 45 degree angle at the base of the body which really increases the overall tension on the srings and really adds more clearity and sustain. The neck is really fast and has no dead spots. So all in all this bass is a noticeable improvement from its predecessor the BB415 and is really going to give Fender a run for their money!

    Ok, I've been playing for over 20 years. Gig out ever weekend, play all styles from Rock to Dance crap. I Owned just about every bass out there, including custom made basses with Bartolini pups, etc.. etc.. All I have to say is WOW...for the buck you get a killer bass, classic look but LOUD. The stock PUPS are hot, but very vintage. SMOKES every Fender I played. WELL worth the $$....you'd expect this value in a high end bass. Don't believe me?? Buy it, you won't want to play your other basses....I'm buying a second one as a backup too!
