Could somebody seriously explain to me why my Yamaha A1R Vintage Sunburst sounds as good if not better than Gibsons J-45 and some high end Martins and Taylors. Before taking delivery I had the Luthier install a bone saddle, bone nut, and Martin SP Strings. Total price for guitar and parts and labor still kept the overall price half of those Big Names. My dream guitar for 20 years was a J-45.Then played a few new ones. What happened to it??There is nothing that I can say negative about this unit.

  • Excellent

I went to GC intending to purchase a much more expensive guitar (Taylor 2 series guitar) at $1000 and picked this guitar up and loved it. It's bright and brassy while stil warm and expressive. It's going to have the sound of the 2 or 3 series or even something higher like a D-16 but with excellent electronics and comes with a case. Not happy with the case, but at least (for $700) was substantial. I recommend this guitar for anyone looking for a great and expressive cutaway dred

  • Great value

From a price point I went in looking at the Godin 5th ave guitar. For a comparison I picked up this guitar. The sound and quality of the guitar were night and day. I was in the "room of reverence"' all the $3000 guitars, and started comparing Gibsons, martins and Taylor's and found that the overall sound quality was as good if not better than those guitars. Plus you get a beautiful case included in the price. Very impressed!
