Wuhan has long been known as the definitive china cymbal for a reason: they provide the trashest, most devastating china cymbal around at a price that is a fraction of all other manufacturers. The Wuhan sound is a trashy, nasty metal accent that is almost all attack (and clang) with a slight decay. I opt for the 14", keeping the clang and pitch at a maximum while having a very short decay. The larger sizes will give you a longer decay and fuller body (also making the cymbal ride-able). This cymbal is guaranteed to make your guitar player turn around with a scared look on his face with every hit! Wuhan chinas are powerful, trashy chinas that have provided the definitive china sound at a great price for some time now.

The definitive china!

It's Horrible, I love it!

By ChrisN

from Concord CA

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

I have to say I think this is the cheapest cymbal out there. To some, that is a turn off, but to others, such as me, that is awesome! For 10 dollars, that's right, 10 DOLLARS this amazingly cheap cymbal can be yours! It has everything, a loud crashing sound, and a somewhat annoying, and somewhat awesome sound that it makes when you hit it as hard as you can. Honestly, I think that every drummer out there should buy this cymbal, just because it is so cheap. If you don't like it, hey, whats a couple bucks down the drain. But if you love it you will be able to look at it as the best cymbal purchase you ever made.

Disposable Cymbal

By DrummingChode

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

I've used these cymbals for well over 2 years, and have gone through about 4, and i sill have my fifth. I've owned two 12", two 16" and an 18". I still have a 16 inch which has held up well, but is broken. I play in a thrash metal band and beat the life out of my cymbals. These sound great new and even when broken, they sound relitively good. In short, the sound is good and the price means you dont have to worry about breaking it.

C'mon... It's a Wuhan!

By Ed C

from Whitehall, PA

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

Other reviewers have complained that these are delicate cymbals, had it a week and it cracked. Well, if you don't know how to hit a China, you will crack it. You must invert-mount this cymbal. Because you mount it that way, there is very little give when you hit it. The answer to this problem is: Don't hit it so hard! If you treat these beauties the way they are meant to be treated, they will last. I have the 16" version and LOVE it. It sounds like a big pie plate, which is exactly what I wanted. Dark, loud, really fast decay. Explosive! WUHAN!

Sweet Deal!

By mmmike

from Beaverton, OR

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

Wuhan's china cymbals rock!! They're the best and cheapest china's you'll ever find. I got the little 12 inch china for about ten bucks and i gotta say this is the best deal ever. It's trashy and loud, and you can get different sounds out of it too. If you're in need of a good china or just out looking for unique sounds, check this cymbal out. It's definitely recommended.

Cant beat the price

By dalbey

from Undisclosed

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

I got my 18" china for about 40 dollars and I've had it for about 7 months i play in a tech metal band and i beat the living daylights out of it. I've heard rumors it breaks easily but its held up well for me. If it breaks i can just buy another one and not even pay half of what i would for a zildjian one. Don't get me wrong i love zildjian but it sounds just as good for a TON cheaper

Suprised

By Derrick Fenn

from Benson, AZ

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

After buying this cymbal I was very suprised at it's "in your face" kind of thrash. It can be used in any kind of rock music, but is great for hard rock. Very good for drummers who want a cymbal to beat the hell out of, or just want an affordable accent piece.

Wooooootan

By Winch

from Alexandria VA

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

Best bang/clang for your buck! I have an inverted 12" right on top of an 18", so I get three distinctly different sounds on one stand! If I don't feel like looking over that way, I get an awesome combo sound, but if I can line up a hit on the 18, it stays fairly insulated from the 12" with some felts. While all of my other cybals are $$$$$ A Customs, I actually prefer the Wutan sound over anything else, at any price. I have beat the hell out of them over the past 6 months, with no signs of cracking the cymbals. I have also tweaked the sound by bending the 12". The coolest part is that you can experiment without hesitation because they are so economical.

Most Affordable Good Sounding China

By Brandon Martinez

from San Lorenzo, California

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

This china I absolutely love even going through a year and a half of moving and Music School This china has 3 cracks in it but still sounds amazing! The only thing the cracks do is give a faster decay and rattle a little bit but, other than that its a good china, and right now i'm probably going to purchase an 18' for my 2nd china!

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

This cymbal is great! I bought the 20" and it really is somethin! Do NOT ever think twice about Wuhan chinas. I've heard Zildjian and other cymbal makers chinas and nothing compares to the much better sound this has! I've had it for 3 months now, not crack on it! And for such a low price! COME ON!

Great China

By CB drummer 13

from Middletown, CT

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

I needed a china, and I knew Wuhans were cheap, so I bought a 16 inch. I absolutely love this cymbal!! I heard that they can break easily, but if you mount it upside-down and mabye buy a cymbal spring, you're guaranteed for life. Wuhan chinas are known for thier "trashy" sound, and that's what I got. These chinas sound exactly like Zildjian Oriental chinas - I'm dead serious! Go on thier website to hear the Zildjian china, and you've just heard a Wuhan. Don't have the money for a fancy china? Buy one of these!

Trashy in the good way

By stevo30

from montreal, QC

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

If you want the most "in your face" china cymbal on the market, look no further than Wuhan. They have so much bite and agressiveness, its incredible. However, this makes them somewhate un-versatile. Lighter players might want to shy away. Also, the durability on my 12" was questionable. It cracked after 3 months. However, my 18" and 14" have been holding up very well. But for the price, I can afford to stock up on them and replace them whenever I want.

great for the price

By Tom

from Baltimore

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

I got the 12 inch one for cheap and it lasted me about 7 months before it cracked, i continued to play it untill a the crack became so bad it muted the sound of the cymbal. Even still this is the best cymbal you can get for the price(probally even double) it had a good sound while it lasted.

No Joke: Best China Out there period

By Justdrumin

from California

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

If you're in the market for a china definitely buy Wuhan! I bought both the 12" and 18" on black friday and trust me they sound GOOD. I've played other chinas in guitar center and none come close to Wuhan. These chinas are loud, aggressive, explosive, trashy (in a good way), and just have the ideal chinese cymbal sound you would expect. DO NOT buy from Bigger cymbal companies just because of the name, buy cymbals based on quality. And believe it Wuhan is the definition of a quality china.

Horrible Quality and Cheap Manufacturing...

By jedimaster33

from Rio Linda, California

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

Somehow come together and make a great sounding trashy china. I have purchased about 4 of these 12" Wuhans and each one remains uncracked for about 3 playing sessions. The thing about this china is that when its cracked the sound seems to amplify. THe overall rating is that if you are a poor college or highschool student learning the ropes pick one of these Wuhan Chinas up you literally have nothing to lose.

Wuhan Looks Great

By Baxter

from Baltimore, MD

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal:

I have a decorative kit in my studio and given how inexpensive this cymbal was I went ahead and bought one. Nice splashy trash sound works for rock and metal. It's a great accent and definitely rounds out a basic kit.
