Fresh, Unique, and Affordable Splashes

The first thing about the Wuhan's that catch your attention is their ridiculously low price. But because of their tendency to break easily and their goofy logo, many people write them off without trying them. I strongly urge you to try them at least once before making the decision not to use them. They may surprise you. The splashes in particular really impressed me with their unique, yet warm china-like sound. This pack offers the 8" and 10" splashes, both of which are great in their own way. The 10" is my favorite of the two because it offers a Zildjian K sounding tone, but adds a trashy, low end punch as well. That said, it could easily pass as a crash in itself, because of the way it cuts through everything else. As far as the 8" splash, it prefer not to think of it as a splash or a crash, but as a quick-decaying yet punchy accent to my drumming. Although it is quick and small like a splash, it doesn't really sound well when used like one. Yet it doesn?t have the same crash-like features that the 10" has either, because it doesn't ring out at all. I use it in complement to any rim shots I make because it has an awesome bite to it that adds a lot of power to my sound. As far as quality goes, neither have cracked yet in my 2 years of owning them. They have continued to produce consistent, thick tones without losing any power over time. I don't understand why people attribute them to poor quality or associate them with rumors like "They suck because they're made in China." I have not had any problems with them so far, and they have offered me so much more than I ever expected to get from my $40 when I bought them. I strongly recommend that all beginner or intermediate drummers on a budget try these out. They may or may not work for you, because obviously, cymbal preference is one of those personal choices that differs for person to person. But I found that these splashes work very well in progressive rock, hard rock, metal, punk, jazz, and even alternative situations; it is safe to assume that the majority of drummers out there will find something they like about these.

Great Pair of Splashes

These splashes are great. They sound a little china sound in them, but I guess you'd expect that from wuhan since their chinas are the best. The 8 inch has a nice cutting sound, but not bright like zildjians. The 10 inch is nice, I use it as a fast crash. The downside, they are thin and break easily, but for the price, it's worth it!

Great Beginning Cymbals

Although I am not a beginning drummer, I bought the Wuhan Traditional and Rock Splash Pack anyways because of their price. I was actually pleasantly surprised at their tone. They are very trashy and have somewhat of a dark sound, making them ideal for almost any style of rock. However; be prepared to replace these cymbals. Mine both cracked within about five months after the date of purchase.

I don't understand why it's so cheap

These cymbals were my first ones and they lasted over 2 years. The splash has a perfect "splash" sound and SOUNDS GREAT WITH A CRAZH/RIDE. If you aren't that hard of a hitter, and don't do gigs every weekend, these cymbals are perfect for you.

Splash pack

The 8" Wuhan splash is incredible for its value with its clean sound. The 10" Wuhan splash is not my personal favorite sounding, but it is pretty good for the price.
