Thinner than other splashes, they produce complex and musical overtones with supportive washes.
I picked up both the 10" and the 12" versions of this splash because of the ridiculously low price, and their reputation as "fast-breaking, but good." I must say I was very impressed by the sound these splashes had to offer to my kit. The 10" was preferable over the 12" simply because it sounded more like a splash, but I found that the 12" actually worked nicely when used like a crash. I really like the fact that they produce a richer, warmer sound similar to the Zildjian K's, but also add a trashy, more China-ish sound at the same time. Accordingly, they really shine in hard rock and metal drumming, while not so much in light rock or alternative. As for the quality and durability, they do break much quicker than other cymbals- after about 1 year of intense playing, but for the price, you can't really go wrong. Don't bother paying extra for the extended warranty or anything. Just pick up a new one when it breaks. Every drummer should at least try the Wuhans once because there's nothing to lose, and who knows? They may just end up becoming a regular in your arsensal.

First of all, the picture does NOT do the cymbal justice, in person, it doesn't have that ugly "cheap" look. I had this cymbal for almost a year now and it is still in perfect condition even though I beat this this REALLY hard. It sounds amazing and I got a lot of compliments on the sound of this splash. It's cheap, and it sounds great, what are you waiting for?

The Wuhan splash cymbal has a high pitched tone. It can be quiet, but it can also be loud. That is what stands out about the Wuhan splash cymbals. Another thing that stands out is that it is hand hammered and is very thin. It has a unique sound that is different than other cymbals. This cymbal has a bright, gold colored finish, so it looks perfect no matter how it is used!

I recently got the 12" splash . And it sounds great. I mainly wanted so I can play blink-182's song: Adam's Song. I also have Zildjian pitch black cymbals, and they sound great together. The price is aewsome, and the sound is wonderfull. I really recomend it.

I bought this cymbal in about July (I think) and it's still one of my most reccomended cymbals. Most times if you're just looking for a cymbal (like you are now) you would probably skip this one because it looks like trash, but it sounds a billion times better than it looks it now acts as a nice crash/china/splash cymbal. This is a have-to-buy! (I only bought it because I could afford it. I was sure surprized!)
