Overview

Easy to use, the Wittner MT50 metronome prominently features a tempo dial that adjusts between 40 to 208 beats per minute. The MT50's speaker produces a loud "tick" sound, which is easier to hear in context than the "beep" produced by most other electronic metronomes. The MT50 also has a flashing LED beat indicator, which can be used for silent practice or along with the speaker for added visual reference.

The MT50 also generates an A=440 reference tone for tuning. A built-in wire stand allows convenient upright positioning. Earphone included.

Uses one 9V battery (not Included).

Comments about Wittner MT50 Metronome:

Great little metronome. Click is nice and loud and staccato. Really helps keep the beat. The A440 isn't that tiny bit flat like it is on most metronomes. Really does the job well and is very reasonably priced.

Comments about Wittner MT50 Metronome:

I looked at the alternatives and many seemed similar to mine. I chose the Wittner due to it coming with an ear plug for silent use and that Wittner having such a long history of making wind-up models I figured they wouldn't put out a inferior model and hurt their good reputation. I've owned it about a week now and it is quite good. Don't worry about volume. It's loud..The sound the same as a wooden wind-up. It's a strong click click, not a beep beep. I'd have given it 5 ***** if it had a volume control (to lower it)..Otherwise it's very likable..This is an authentic review. I'm retired from the music business in Los Angeles and just play classical and jazz guitar for myself..I hope the battery lasts a long time. That I don't know yet. ....M

I like the "click" sound it makes. I find the models that "beep" can get lost in the background of some of the music exercises I work with.

      Comments about Wittner MT50 Metronome:

I used to have this metronome for many years but I lost it and found Guitar Center had one. I like the color black is universal and the material that is built is of a very hard shell which makes it durable, you also have a like a foot in the back to keep it upright I use it once in awhile but I tend to play in the sofa and makes it easier to put it down. I grew up playing classical guitar and the metronome has the rate for a adagio allegro etc, I don't use it simply because I put whatever rate I want for practicing. Today mainly I play in a band jazz, rock Motown and I was just practicing without a metronome and found that when I played with the metronome I was having trouble keeping the rhythm so now I practice everything with the metronome. The sound that comes out is loud but you can use the headphone jack and not disturb anyone else. I'm very happy with this metronome the other one I had for 5 years without any problem, the metronome comes without the 9v battery but I found 2 9v batteries at the Dollar Store here in New Orleans for $1.00. The only thing that maybe I would like is to have a control to set it as low or loud as you want it, however I don't think anyone makes a metronome like that.

      What more do you want?

      Comments about Wittner MT50 Metronome:

Just what the doctor ordered. Small, sturdy easy to use. Loud click or just the flashing red light and easily adjustable tempo. Why spend extra when this unit will do just what you need. Unless you have a real need to watch the pendulum arm move back and forth, this unit should fill your prescription.
