Our church recently purchased this digital piano. It was easy to assemble, looks gorgeous with the glossy black finish and sounds great as well. The voicing of the two grand pianos is great, with 80 watts of power to provide plenty of volume. The other tones are also good. Likewise, the velocity control of the keys help with a good realistic feel. All in all we have been very happy with all aspects of this instrument.

If you are interested in having a nice looking piece for your living room, the Williams Baby Grand sports a good gloss black finish that resembles a Yamaha acoustic piano finish. The sounds are the same samples that you will find on the Williams Overture and Symphony. Decent sounds for the money, not as durable as some of your upper name brands (Yamaha, Roland, Korg, etc.) so would not recommend moving it from one location to another frequently (though this new Williams includes casters). If you don't live near a Guitar Center that has one of these on the floor, try the Williams Symphony to get a good idea of what the Grand will feel like. Overall, not a bad unit, good if you are on a budget. Give it a try

THE PIANO WAS A GIFT FOR A CHURCH. IT WAS A WONDERFUL SURPRISE THE SUNDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND AGAIN ON CHRISTMAS EVE TO THE COMMUNITY WQHO WORSHIPED WITH US. THE CONGREGATION WAS MOST HAPPY. THE VISITORS FOR CHRISTMAS EVE REALLY ENJOYED THE NEW INSTRUMENT WHICH REPLACE OUR OLD PIIANO. IT SOUNDED REALLY GREAT WITH OUR ANTIQUE ORGAN. IT IS A HISTORICAL CHURCH AND THE PIANO GOES WELL WITH THE REST OF THE DECORE.
Well, I saw this piano in GC and sat down, played it and was hooked. I couldn't believe the price. It's got it all..looks, great action, and some other extras you wouldn't expect. And if you want more sounds, just use the midi out. I'm very impressed with this beautiful looking and sounding product at this price point. What a great job this company did! Thank you for making the best piano deal in history!
I love this instrument! I purchased this piano (this summer) for the music dept. where I teach general music, but would be nice in a small room of your house where a real (or acoustic) baby grand would be overpowering. It was too big to fit into the doorway of my music classroom (without taking off the legs), so we are going to use it for stage performances. It is the cheapest digital baby grand on the market right now. You cannot even find a used one for this price. I know this because I have researched them for about 3 years (due to the fact that I was thinking of purchasing one for my own home). It has a great sound-not anything like a regular Williams Symphony Digital Piano because of the weighted AND hammer action keys. When I first tried it out, I was nervous that it wouldn't be loud enough for an auditorium, but just make sure the setting is not on soft and that it is on the stage setting as well, if you need it loud. It CAN get very loud-believe me (It took me a few days to figure that out-DUH). My co-worker says they have it in red at her church and that it overpowers the choir room, but is not loud enough for a santuary. As for looks, everyone admires it. The pictures don't do it any justice. It is a great looking instrument-not very tall, but the grand-style body is pretty big for the bucks. It's also very light and easy to push around. Though I haven't had it long, I highly recommend it as you can tell!
Pros- this item looks great and does not look cheep. Has a good sound and is great for piano lessons. Cons-This piano is not as loud as I would like. I also hooked up a midi wire and one side is not working. Im hoping its the wire and not the piano. I ordered a new midi wire if it doesnt work i will come back and post a new review. This item is shipped to your door or driveway. Its up to you to get it in the house and this bad boy is heavy.
I purchased my Williams Digital Grand approx. three months ago. Shortly thereafter, we began to have problems with the keyboard, and eventually, some of the keys stopped playing. It took over a month to get it repaired. The technician mentioned that some of the solders were bad...not a good sign regarding quality of manufacturing. Also, the keyboard is not in the least bit touch sensitive. While it's a beautiful piece of furniture, don't expect a piano-like experience.
This piano was easily put together, it looks gorgeous, and it sounds GREAT! Best of all, the headphone jack. With 3 piano players in the house, sometimes you just need quiet, so the headphone jack is a godsend. Plus, it sounds amazing when you are the one wearing the headphones, you can't tell that the room isn't full of sound, that it's only in your ears!
Deliverywas very polite and easy , just need to keep track of your order as you should with any important aspect of your musical life . Piano is easy to set up , but does require some physical efforts to set in place , I suggest you have at least two to thre friends that are strong around to turn this baby ove as it weights in at 225 pounds . Its playability is astounding , sound and resonance are detailed and for your living room or if you are doing a concert on stage it s aperance and sound are as good as other name brands for a fraction of the price and a much more elegant look . Price Value and sound if you buy this baby Grand are yours!!! Williams Has done a Great job on sound and looks . Congradulations!!!!!
Bought this for the church praise team and a replacement for the out of tune, can't repair piano, and the church feels they have come alive and now they can all sing in perfect tune. It took a bit for the pianist to get used to playing in the correct tune, no more flat sounds coming from her finger tips, now it is proper tuning quality. The church is making a big step toward better music and the praise team can play guitars with the piano and sound great now.
Sound quailty is fair - there is a little problems in the lowest and highest registers. Also, suspended play becomes a problem with continual sound output. But, all in all, great little digital for the price - hammer action is good, looks great, and plays well. There was an issue on shipping/delivery because it weighs 225lbs. Fed Ex tried to delay shipping and charge more for door delivery.
You'd do better buying a name brand console type than this grand shaped object. You get what you pay for.
